S2 Chapter 12: Another Shocking Revelation

Y/N just got promoted to second-in-command of the Levi squad and he was following Levi enter Erwin's office.

"Ugh. Those Titans just won't give us a break." Levi said closing the door

"Can you go?" Erwin asked

"Not like there's much choice." Levi said

"What about you, Y/N?" Erwin asked

"Yeah, sure. I can. Though my stitches are still a bit fresh, but I'm sure they'll be fine when we get there." Y/N said

"It was wise to have Section Commander Mike watch the 104th. I believe he can handle the situation." An officer said

"Yes. Let's hope so." Erwin said

Y/N was checking on his maneuver gear and preparing his horse beside Petra.

"Do you think Lilith will be okay?" Petra asked

"I... don't know." Y/N said

Hange and Levi passed by them and a priest of the walls was following them.

"Seems like Squad Leader Hange and Levi are ready to leave now. Let's go." Petra said

The scouts were lined up in a group with Erwin at the front. Eren, Mikasa, Moblit and Armin were waiting on a cart for Levi and Hange.

Y/N and Petra were right beside the cart so they could here the conversation.

"Sorry to keep you waiting! Took long to prepare than we thought." Hange said, waving at them.

Hange was seen walking with Levi and one of the priests of the walls.

Hange and the two got on the cart and the Shiganshina Trio looked at them confused.

"Um... Isn't this a priest from the Order of the Walls?" Armin asked

"Yeah. Nick and I are best friends." Hange said, putting her arm around Nick's shoulders

"Right, Nick?" Hange asked, but Nick didn't reply

"Don't let him bother you. The whole makeup of this squad doesn't make any sense. Does it, Levi?" Hange asked

"No, I think it might. Erwin picked them out for a reason." Levi said

"Open the gate!" A soldier shouted and they started lifting the gates.

"The situation within Wall Rose is unclear, but everything up to Ehrmich is safe. We'll save time by going through there. Move out!" Erwin said

"Yes, sir!" The soldiers replied

"Take us out." Levi said

"Yes, sir!" Moblit replied

The scouts now headed their way to Ehrmich District.

Y/N and Levi returned after showing Nick what it looked like when the Walls are breached. From what Nick saw, he had a change of heart and decided to tell them the truth.

Hange noticed them and ran towards them.

"Have you gotten a change of heart?" Hange asked Nick

Nick didn't answer and he looked away from Hange.

"We don't have time for this! You know it, don't you?! Will you or won't you?! Make up your mind already!" Hange shouted

"I cannot say anything. The other believers are the same as I. And that eill never change." Nick said

"Well, thank you for nothing! We're thankful for all the help you've been!" Hange said, angrily

"It's too great a decision for a single person to make. The Order of the Walls must always adhere to the secret will we're bound to obey." Nick said

"Whose will? God or something?" Hange asked

"I cannot say anything. However, I can inform you of a name, who under their sacred will, we were instructed to monitor." Nick said

"Monitor?" Hange was confused

"That person joined the Survey Corps as of this year. Their name is, Krista Lenz and her real name is Historia Reiss." Nick said

"Excuse me! 104th Training Corps! Sasha Blouse!" Sasha suddenly came in

"Her?" Eren asked

"Who's that?" Hange asked

"Um... This is for you, Section Commander." Sasha was trying to talk to Hange, but Nick spoke again

"You must find her at once. Only she may know the truths which even we can't perceive. That is all the information I can share. I'll leave the rest in your hands." Nick said

"If she's in the 104th, then she's deep in the frontlines now." Hange said

"We need to hurry! If we don't hurry-" Eren was on his way to his horse, but he accidentally bumped into Sasha.

"Sasha?" Eren looked at her

"What are you doing here?" Mikasa asked

Sasha immediately grabbed the paper on the ground and ran to Hange

"Upon my arrival, I gave my report to the Commander! Afterwards, I was entrusted to deliver this message to the Section Commander!" Sasha said, handing the paper to Hange

"Message? Thank you. Good work." Hange said, taking the papers and snatching a hot potato from the crate and putting it on Sasha's hand.

Y/N, Mikasa, and Armin were called by Hange who was reading some papers and she had a surprised look on her face.

"What's wrong, Hange-san?" Y/N asked

"Oh, well... I was finally able to get my hands on the background report for Annie Leonhart." Hange said

"Annie?" Eren asked

"Yeah. It's taken so long to get it because managing these reports are such a mess right now." Hange said

"According to these, there were two belonging to the 104th Training Corps who came from the same area as her. And another in the Survey Corps who's been a member even before the Fall of Wall Maria. Those three are, Reiner Braun, and Bertholdt Hoover." Hange said

"Thanks to the chaos five years ago, pretty much all of their family records are spotty or missing. However, during the long range scouting formation, their unit were given false information. They were among those who purposely told the Female Titan that Eren was in the right wing." Hange said

"The one who leaked the information to them was, Lilith Zeppeli." Hange said

Eren, Petra, and Levi looked shocked while Y/N looked down and balled up his fists.

"Y/N, did you know about this?" Levi asked

"Yeah, but I wasn't sure yet. I wanted to believe that there was a mistake on my part." Y/N said

"Then, when'd you learn about it?" Levi asked

"After the expedition with Eren. I already had my suspicions, but none of them could prove it was her." Y/N said

"What're you gonna do about her then?" Levi asked

"I'll... I'll do what I have to do." Y/N said

"I see." Levi said
