S4P1 Chapter 37: Euthanization

Y/N and the others were inside a cell with the other Scouts and the Blouse Family. Hange was taken with Floch and other Jaegerists to find Zeke while Gabi was in a different cell.

"So? All we can do is sit here while it all plays out?" Connie asked

"Care for tea?" Mr. Blouse asked

"Thanks." Armin accepted the tea

"Armin, could you bust us out of here with your Titan?" Connie asked

"No. I'll just destroy the city. Unlike Eren's Titan, the Colossal Titan can't do something that precise." Armin said

"So? Why'd Captain Y/N beat Eren to pulp and eventually getting shot as a warning by the Jaegerists?" Jean asked

"Eren told Mikasa hurtful words. I swung at him, but he couldn't land a hit on me so Armin had to stop me, but I tried to resist from the four of us getting taken away by the guards, and I got shot as a warning after that." Y/N said holding the bandage on his shoulder

"Huh?" Connie looked at him

"He hurt Mikasa? How?" Jean asked

"... Did you really listen to every word I just say?" Y/N asked

"No, I meant, what did he tell her?" Jean asked

"He called her-" Armin was cut off by Mikasa

"Stop. It's fine." Mikasa said

Y/N stood up from the table and slammed his hands on it.

"It's not fine!" Y/N said

Mikasa pulled Y/N's shirt down and he sat down.

"Forget it. We already know he's turned into a total piece of shit. Now he's lost his mind and hurt the three people he should care about the most." Connie said

"I think if he was sane, he wouldn't do it without a good reason. Do you think, there's some sort of hidden meaning behind it?" Jean asked

"Long time no see, Heroes of Shiganshina." Yelena arrived with Griez and Onyankopon

"It pains me to reunite in a place like this." Yelena said

"Hey! You're on their side too?! Let us out!" Connie shouted at Onyankopon

"That's a lot to ask, considering you guys put me on house arrest. Just sit quiet and behave until Eren and Zeke meet." Onyankopon said

"You...!" Connie looked at Onyankopon angrily

"Must be nice, Yelena. Everything went exactly how you planned. Through you, Eren moved how Zeke wanted. Raiding Marley, getting people's support, using wine to take over the military... Now, Eldia and the Founding Titan are yours. You can crush Marley and avenge your homelands." Jean said

"Isn't that the real reason you came to the island?" Jean asked

"This place was primitive. We brought it out of the past." Onyankopon said

"Huh?!" Connie looked at him angrily

"So you and your pals can enjoy it. Once you ruled, that is." Nicolo said

"You were tricked and lost. That's all that it is." Griez said

"Griez! Looks like you sold us out to get promoted into one of Yelena's lackey, you snitch!" Nicolo shouted

"Are you dumb? It's you who sided with the devils and betrayed us!" Griez said

"What?!" Nicolo looked at him furiously

"You had the hots for some devil spawn who reeked of potatoes!" Griez said

"I'm gonna kill you!" Nicolo shouted

Nicolo tries to punch Griez, but the bars and Jean stop him.

"Calm down, Nicolo!" Jean shouted

"You wouldn't shut up about her, day and night. Stupid me thought you'd get a grip after that bitch died." Griez said

"What'd you say?!" Nicolo became more furious

"I'll make it easy to understand. That spawn of the devil whore was-" Griez was cut off by Yelena shooting him in the head

Griez falls to the ground and he became motionless. The Blouse Family covered their eyes, scared of what they saw.

"Yelena?!" Onyankopon looked at her

"I apologize for his disrespect." Yelena bowed

"This island has no need for those who call you devils. Believe me, our true goal is nothing as hollow as getting revenge on Marley. Our goal is to end the cycle of hatred to save Eldia and even Marley. No more secrets, I'll tell you everything. About Zeke's plan to save the world , his Euthanization plan." Yelena said

"Zeke's plan, is stop children from being born." Yelena said

"Stop children... from being born?" Armin asked

"Yes, that's right. That's Zeke's Euthanization plan. All suffering brought by Titans will disappear from the world. Gradually. Peacefully." Yelena said

"Wait, how is that peaceful? If Subjects of Ymir slowly die out, we'll only have geezers to defend in the end." Jean said

"How do we protect ourselves? You think they'll leave us alone?" Jean asked

"Thu Rumbling can serve as detterent as long as the Founding Titan and the royal bloodline are preserved. Fortunately, Queen Historia was blessed with a heir. As long as the Subjects of Ymir inherit the Founder until the child passes away." Yelena said

"You talk like this is a sure thing." Jean said

"Sure things... Certainties... No nation can claim to have them. Each one has it's own share of problems. But there's one thing certainty, and that's the threat of the Titans. Their history of tears and bloodshed will be put to an end... by Zeke and Eren. I don't know how long humanity will last, but it's hard to think that a greater feat will ever to come pass. People will speak of the brothers as legends for millenia to come. Like gods of the past. Even after their deaths, they'll be seen as saviors who shone over humanity." Yelena said

Armin suddenly started tearing up and covered his face. Yelena and the others looked at him.

"Is something wrong?" Yelena asked

"No... but to think... your cause was so noble... It touched my heart!" Armin said

"That's wonderful." Yelena smiled at him

"I'm glad to know you understand." Yelena said

Suddenly, a soldier came inside running.

"Yelena!" He called

"Come quick! Invaders!" The soldier shouted, shocking all of them

Yelena and Onyankopon quicly ran outside with the soldier.

"Is it Marley?" Y/N asked

"Probably. The girl who killed Sasha mentioned that Marley would be launching an all out war here." Nicolo said
