S4P1 Chapter 36: Argument

The Scouts and Onyankopon had finally arrived in the restaurant Nicolo was working in. And went to see them.

"You guys? Is it urgent? My hands are full with some customers." Nicolo said

"You can get back to work now or later, but we'd like to have a word with you." Y/N said

"A word? About what?" Nicolo asked

"Oh, you know, like... any concerns you have.

"They're investigating our detainment. We're hoping you could help." Onyankopon said

"Yeah. All right." Nicolo said

Nicolo brought them to an empty room.

"You can wait here." Nicolo said

"Oh? What a fancy room." Hange said

"I bet it's a room reserved for the Military Police." Connie said

"Huh? Is this the wine all the soldiers are gossiping about?!" Jean asked, picking up a wine bottle

"They say only higher ranks get it!" Jean said

"Yeah? Aren't we high ranks in the Scouts?" Connie asked

"Yup! We deserve a bit of fun too! A cup or two-" Jean was cut off by Nicolo grabbing the wine bottle from him

"Don't touch that!" Nicolo shouted

"Ch-Chill out, Nicolo. We're just screwing around. No need to overreact." Jean said

"This good stuff would be wasted on Eldians!" Nicolo said

"Nicolo, you're still saying stuff like that? The booze don't give a damn what race we are!" Jean said, grabbing Nicolo's collar angrily

"Don't touch me, Eldian. Just because I've been nice doesn't make us pals." Nicolo said

"Have you forgotten what you are? You're just a-" Jean was cut off by Nicolo

"A filthy captive, huh? That makes us even, Eldian." Nicolo said removing Jean's hand from his collar

Nicolo left and Jean and Connie looked at him.

"What's with him?" Connie asked

"Damn it. Hell if I know." Jean said

"I wonder what really is his problem." Y/N said

After a few minutes they heard someone shout from the other room.

"Nicolo! What'd ya do to Ben and Mia?!"

Y/N and Armin immediately ran outside to check and they saw Gabi and an unconscious Falco.

"Wh-What the-! Come here guys!" Armin called them

"Nicolo! What happened?!" Y/N asked

The others arrived and they saw what the other two saw.

"The kid who shot Sasha!" Jean said

"What's going on, Nicolo? I've heard she had escaped prison." Y/N said

"What do you think you're doing?! Hey!" Jean shouted

Y/N was about to walk to Gabi to ask her what happened, but Nicolo faces them and points the knife at Falco's neck.

"Don't move! Get back! I'm avenging Sasha! Stay put!" Nicolo said

"Stop... Not Falco!" Gabj shouted

"What's this brat to you?! He took the hit for you! Do you care about him?! I cared about someone too! An Eldian! Spawn of the Devil! One who loved my cooking more than anyone! She saved me from this shitty ass war! She taught me that I like making people happy with food! Her name was Sasha Blouse! She's the girl you stole from me!" Nicolo shouted
