AND SO, KARASUNO SPENT the rest of their days' training for the Interhigh Preliminaries. Sora stopped practising volleyball with Tobio after dark, forcing him to eat and sleep instead he knew how hard they were working now that they had a proper coach to help train them all.

"B-But Sora," the volleyball-eccentric whined, tugging at his soulmate's arm as they stood in the kitchen, washing up the dishes they just had dinner on. "Just ten minutes!"

"No, Tobio," Sora denied firmly, shooting him an austere look. "Daichi called to let me know. You aren't allowed to practice outside of training. You need to rest."

"Sora." Lowering his brow, jutting out his bottom lip and enlarging his eyes, Tobio pulled the infamous puppy dog face. Sora almost faltered. He was always a victim to that facea difference to two others that shared a piece of their soul. They knew how to stand their ground against the younger three, but Sora was always all for spoiling them.

Once upon a time, that is.

Exhaling deeply, Sora acquiesced, "Fine. But only ten minutes."

And it was worth it, he noted. Seeing Tobio brighten up warmed his core.

They practised outside in their back garden. Tobio would spike, and Sora would receive, having mastered the ability because of all the times he would practice with Tobio and the practice he would do after to catch up to his soulmate. In secret, of course. He puffed his chest out in pride every time Tobio complimented his quick learning. It filled his chest with a warmth unattainable elsewhere.

"I still don't know why you didn't sign up," mumbled Tobio, plopping onto the ground and regaining his breath. "You're really good."

Sora laughed and placed the volleyball under his arm. "Thanks, Tobs. But you know I prefer swimming."

Tobio pouted. "I know."

"Come on, let's go inside. It's been more than ten minutes."

It had been over half an hour, in actuality. Sora was too lenient with his youngest soulmate — his only soulmate.

They returned inside their house, well, Tobio's house, and had their own special moment, washing themselves up and nestling under the heated covers, curling into each other and falling asleep in each others' embrace.

The days passed by in a blur. Before anyone knew it, Miyagi's Interhigh Preliminaries was right outside their doorstep, ready to welcome the teams into its humble abode the next day. Sora swung the fridge door open, humming to himself as he looked through the stuff they had stocked up.
