JULY THIRTEENTH,
TWO THOUSAND AND TWELVE17:45 in the evening
WORRY PROPAGATED THROUGH their soulmate bond. Kindaichi and Kunimi grimaced as they glanced down at their phones, feeling a plethora of pain erupt around their bodies.
This wasn't right.
The pain was coming from the one direction they hoped it would never come from. Not after everything that happened in their fucked up past. Not after a year of solitude. Of a high, towering wall blocking one part of their bond.
"Tobio? What happened?" Kunimi questioned, waiting impatiently for the youngest of the trio to answer his query over the phone call.
"We can feel your pain," Kindaichi added, "so, don't try and give us an excuse."
A deep exhale was heard on the other side of the phone, a melancholic, exhausted sound. "I got into a fight with Hinata," came his answer.
Immediately, the two tensed up.
"Why? What did he do?"
The night breeze gently rustled through raven hair, the moon cascading down and showering him with beams of light. She stood high and proud in the sky, motherly eyes watching over her children of planet earth. A frown donned her astronomical sphere, spotting the bruises on Tobio Kageyama's face and neck. And no, they weren't the bruises he would have liked to have on his skin.
They weren't done by Sora.
No, no. They weren't.
They were done by some selfish, out-going, pent-up brat that looked too much like a tangerine for his own good.
And so, under the moon's fretful gaze, he spoke to his soulmates over the phone, updating them on the new situation that broke out.
"I'll be fine," Kageyama assured, reaching the steps of his house.
Kindaichi sighed, "If you say so."
"Good luck with Sora, though," was the last thing the shortest of the trio said as the call came to an end.
Tobio gulped. He would definitely need it.
For the moment he stepped inside their house, well, his house, Tobio was bombarded with the ever-so worried Sora, hands moving all over him, inspecting every mark on his sore body.
"What happened? Who did it? Give me a name, and I'll personally deal with them."
An individual could sooner redirect a river than deny him of his overbearing, overprotective nature.
