DECEMBER TWENTY FIFTH,
TWO THOUSAND AND TWELVE

16:23 in the afternoon

"WOAH, SORA-KUN! Did you order all of these?" Mai Oikawa stood at the door of her house, eyes enlarging as two unfamiliar men walked into her home, placed a shit load of neatly wrapped boxes on her living room floor and left shortly after. "Are these presents?"

"Yeah," replied Sora, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly. "I wanted them to be a surprise, so I asked them to deliver it here."

He turned towards one of his soulmate's mothers, worry evident in his jewelled orbs.

"Was that okay?"

"I meanof course. Our house is your house." And oh, if his heart didn't flutter at those words. "But are these all...for us?"

Sora nodded.

Takeru peeked around the corner.

He lit up.

"Presents!"

Just as he was about to run over to the boxes ranging in various sizes, Tadao grabbed the collar of his shirt. Animatedly, tiny legs swung in the air, arms flailing around.

"Slow your horses, kiddo," Tadao called. "Let's wait for everyone to sit down before we start opening the presents."

Takeru deflated.

He crossed his arms over his chest.

"Boo," he pouted.

"Don't pout," his mother chastised, holding a tray filled with mugs in her hands. "I thought you said you weren't a kid anymore."

"I'm not! I'm thirteen now!"

"Still a child," sang Tooru, waltzing in with a chocolate log whilst Iwaizumi and Kindaichi held the other desserts they brought. Kunimi and Kageyama brought in a large assembly of plates, knives, forks and spoons. They were all placed on the coffee table centring the large living room, strange for such a small family. Though, Sora couldn't judge. He lived by himself in his house, and it was huge.

"Am not!"

Tooru stuck out his tongue. "Are too!"

"Obaa-chan!" Takeru cried, turning to his grandmother with fake watery and innocent eyes. "Tooru's bullying me again!"

Mai gasped. She played along with her grandson's mischief. "Tooru!"

"WhaOka-san!"

Takeru smiled triumphantly.
