– H-how can you do this to me?! I thought y-you loved me!
– Me? Lovin' you? M'aw, would it be indecent to laugh at that?
Another slap landed onto the woman's face, shoving her back on the ground with a pained scream. The man in front of her crouched down, a hand going to the back of her head, catching her by the hair and pulling her closer to his face. All that was expressed on it was anger and disgust, and he didn't even try to hide it. He was mad, and nothing she could say would ease him.
– B-babe, I swear I'm sorry, she screamed, tears running on her bruised cheeks.
– Sorry? Did you just say you're sorry?
He began to laugh in a tone so sinister she trembled harder from it, trying to get away, vainly. His fist hit her lips, breaking the lower one open while she cried for him to have mercy.
– So you seduce me, tell me you love me, then cheat on me with my fuckin' best friend, drug him, and then you're saying you're sorry?!
He pinned her down to the floor, seizing her throat and pressing on it in an enraged move, barely leaving her enough space to breath. It was his turn to have tears in his eyes; somehow he had loved her, her blue eyes, her curly brown hair, her innocent demeanor, the words she whispered to him after their nights of love... He loved her deeply, and that betrayal hurt. It wasn't only because she had sex with Dusk, but also because she hurt him, too, and this, he couldn't tolerate. He could accept her cheating on him once, but her putting his best friend in danger? No, that was too much. He loved Dusk more than he could ever have loved her. He was his family, his brother, and he would avenge him for what she did.
– Listen up, you slut, he growled. I won't kill you today, I'll spare your life. But if you ever approach an Amnesia's member again, rest assured that I'll tear your pretty face away from your skull.
He let her go and woke up, wiping away the wetness from his eyes with the back of his hand and turning around. Yet, rather than moving out of his reach while she had the occasion, she caught his ankle in a desperate gesture, and although it astounded him, that was the look on her face that caught him off-guard: she grinned.
– You should thank me, Phase. Without me, he would've jumped out of his fucking window! He would've killed himself if I wasn't there for him! I gave him pleasure and that's what kept him alive! But you, where were you? Where were you when he needed you?!
He flinched, and his heart missed a beat as tears started to fell and as he couldn't control them. These words, these damn words hurt way more than the treason. Was she right? Should he have been with him today? But how could he have knew which state Dusk was in, while he didn't call or ask for help? No, he couldn't believe it was his fault. It wasn't. He couldn't have prevented this. However, sadness had let its place to a rage he barely ever felt, and he threw a brutal kick into her chest, sending her as far away from him as he could.
– Nevermind, I'll be killin' you today.

Dufferdale defiling under her was an exhilarating sensation she wished she would have experienced earlier. Squeezed tight against Claw's back, her long hair flapping along both the wind and the motorcycle's speed, Dove was having fun, and couldn't stop laughing wholeheartedly. The black-haired man kept abruptly turning between the city's streets, and every moves of their vehicle were amusing her even more. However, he didn't know why having the blonde's arms wrapped around his waist wasn't letting him indifferent, and not being ice cold as he was usually bothered him.
They parked when they arrived in front of a high, modern building, where ETHER ENT was written on its facade in huge, luminous white letters. Dove climbed off the bike and passed a hand through her hair to rearrange it, before turning around. As soon as she saw the name on the edifice, her heart leaped into her chest.
– Wait... Is that where we are going? She exclaimed, pointing at it.
– Yeah, he answered, pushing his keys into his jacket's pocket. Why?
– That's... That's one of the biggest studios in all of Dufferdale! I can't believe I'm going to enter it!
– Are you a fan?
– Why, of course! Ether Sadaaki is such a great singer!
– Don't scream too much when you'll see her, then.
– Wh-... Hey, wait for me!
In a chuckle, Claw had left, and she ran after him in a hurry. Was he serious? Was she about to meet one of her idols? Further than that, was Ether Sadaaki the one who asked to see her? If so, then it meant she was in Amnesia, too, and that idea enjoyed Dove. She followed him inside, but at the sight of the building's interior, she slowed down, observing it all with stars in her eyes. She never imagined coming to such a place, and it felt like a dream coming true. This was bringing her hope; maybe she was still allowed to dream, after all. Nevertheless, when two security agents appeared in front of her and blocked her way, her fantasies stopped all of a sudden.
– 'Scuse me Miss, may I see your badge? Interrogated one of them.
– M-my badge?
– Only authorized people may access, added the second.
She was about to reply, but a strong arm embraced her waist, making her cheeks turn to red; Claw was pressing her onto his body, frowning at the guards.
– She's with me, you idiots, he grumbled.
– A-alright Claw, no need to get mad...
He didn't answer, dragging her to the elevator, and selecting the fourth floor. She didn't say a thing, too flustered of their closeness to speak. And the first face she saw when the doors finally opened didn't help her:
– Welcome, Miss Dove. I am delighted to meet you.
