– Lil sis, call me big sis!
– A-alright big sis, just let me breath...!
Blaze's embrace around her was so tight she could barely breath, and had to tap onto her shoulder for her to let go. Dove took back her breathing when she did, under the chuckles of Phase and Dusk, who were sitting on the futons in front of the large TV. The youngest took her sneakers off, letting them at the entrance of the living room, and rejoined them.
– Hey Dove, exclaimed the pink-haired one, you should call me big bro then!
– Hi, she answered. Well, sure!
The redhead took place before her, laying on the left of the mattress, next to Phase. Venom came out of the kitchen with three boxes of popcorn in the arms, and sat down to the right side of the blue-haired man, who was smiling at Dove and reaching a hand out to her.
– It's good to meet you in a less formal setting, he told her. I'm Dusk, but you can call me big bro too.
– Nice to meet you, Dusk!
She answered the smile and shook hands with him, before the blonde man interrupted, giving her a box of popcorn, handing the other to Phase.
– Here's yours!
– Thanks! Should I call you big bro, too?
She sat in the middle of the futon in a chuckle, while he shook his head negatively.
– No, I'm not a kid like you all... You should all call me Dad from now on.
– Piss off, retorted Phase, pouting.
– Hell, then I want to be Dad too, claimed Dusk, punching Venom's shoulder, playfully.
– Fuck off, I'm not marrying you!
Their childish quarrels brought a wide smile on Dove's face, who imitated the other woman and laid down. So this is what having a family is like, she thought, already loving that idea. She felt welcomed, appreciated, loved, and it made her beyond happy. And when a familiar face showed up at the door, her happiness doubled.
– Sphinx, she exclaimed, cheerfully.
– Hi, you!
He smiled at her, getting his shoes off before coming to sit between her and Phase. She observed him with a light blush; he did the same hairstyle as yesterday, and it really fitted him. But when his Lieutenant began to mess with his hair, his joyful expression turned to an angry one.
– My lil bro is finally here, exclaimed Phase.
– Fuck off, shrieked Sphinx, do you have any idea how long it took me to style my hair?! Don't touch it!
However, he stopped complaining, rather heavily blushing, when Dove started to comb it back into place with her fingers, a smile on her lips. This sight surprised the Lieutenants at first, until they burst off laughing.
– You two are so cute, squeaked Blaze.
– Stop that, already, sighed Sphinx, rolling his eyes.
– You're all red boy, teased Dusk.
– So is Dove, added Phase.
The duo looked away from each other, flustered, which amused the others even more. Nevertheless, Venom put an end to the tease, seizing the remote control and switching the TV on.
