– M'hey, Buttercup?
– What is it?
– Why didn't ya text me, rather than drivin' all the way to the store?
Rune's question made the redhead laugh wholeheartedly, and this one rolled between the blankets to lay on her stomach, next to her. She crossed her arms under her chin, losing her dark eyes into her bright purple ones.
– You dummy, she exhaled in a chuckle.
– Ya wanted to see me, huh?
– Why else would I lose my temper into that heckin' traffic, tell me?
Rune smirked, pleased by the idea she took some of her time to come there, and started to comb her long, flashy orange hair with her hand, in tender gestures. Her fingertips then brushed the skin along her spine, slowly running down until they reached her butt, softly squeezing on it for an instant. Blaze giggled from the touch, and lifted her face closer to hers, asking for a kiss. The other woman gladly gave it to her, pressing her lips on hers, at first delicately, then more intensely as desire quickly built between them. Rune's fingers getting on her thighs sent shivers down her spine, and as her other hand pushed on her shoulder, the redhead obediently laid on her back. The second let go off their kiss to push away the blanket, admiring her lover's naked body and considering her curves with lust. She came above her, her mouth joining Blaze's breasts and tearing away a moan from her. The Lieutenant closed her eyes, appreciating the sensation of her tongue onto her skin, while the other moved her fingers to the inner side of the orange-haired woman's thigh. Blaze gasped, reopening her eyes, observing her and whispering:
– We shouldn't, I have to go to work...
– Work can go fuck itself while I'm busy fuckin' ya.
– Such a bad mouth you have...
– You didn't say that last night, babe.
– Shut up, you jerk.
With a grin, Rune raised up, and suddenly lifted one of Blaze's thighs to intertwine her legs with hers, hips pressed against hers until an endeared groan escaped the redhead's lips. Keeping that position with the bottom of her body, the tattooed woman leaned in to whisper into her ear.
– One day, I'm gonna get your heart, Blaze Clarke.
– Try harder, then.
– You'll regret sayin' that when I'll be done with ya, babe.
– Well, show me what you mean by that, I'm curious...
__________
– Dove!
Sphinx's voice shouting her name while he jogged towards her made her giggle; he seemed quite cheerful to see her, this afternoon. Coming back to university as if nothing happened this morning somehow calmed her, and seeing him brought a smile on her lips. She waved at him before rejoining him, and he stopped in front of her, showing her a smile too.
– Hey, everybody's been talking about you in the district, he told her, in a voice low enough so no other students around could hear it.
– How so? I didn't do anything extraordinary, she chuckled.
– Not gonna lie, you might be our only member who can go into a police station without being arrested on sight.
They shared a laugh and began to walk to the building side by side as their lesson would be starting in a few minutes. He was about to ask her something, but when he noticed the bag on her back, he grabbed it, taking the strap off of her shoulder to carry it.
– Here, let me take care of that, he said with a smirk.
– Thanks, she replied, her cheeks lightly blushing from his gesture.
– So, how did it go?
– My turn to be honest, it was fuckin' stressful! I'm not doing that again so soon! But at the end, I succeeded and Claw got out, so that's the principal I guess?
– M'yeah, as long as you're safe, it is.
His remark along his face reddening surprised her, but she didn't say anything on that subject, simply acquiescing. Sphinx was really kind to her, not particularly more than any other Amnesia's members, but still, having him as a classmate was both reassuring and troubling. She couldn't deny that she felt attracted to him, but considering his idol-like features, it was nothing surprising, and she decided to repeat this to herself. When they reached the stairs, she was completely lost into her thoughts, and missed a step, tumbling forward in a gasp. However, a strong arm wrapped around her waist before she could touch the ground, and in a swift move, Sphinx pulled her back up on her feet with a soft laughter.
– Hey, don't get any more bruises on your pretty face.
She nodded, embarrassed, pushing a lock behind her ear and looking away from him, heavily blushing from the disguised compliment he made to her. But what she didn't see was that him too had his cheeks bright red, and he turned his face to the other side to avoid her noticing it. They kept silent until they entered the classroom, heading to their usual seats and sitting down. Dove leaned against the window while Sphinx, after giving her back her backpack, almost laid down on his desk, arms crossed under his head as a pillow. She bent in to grab her notebook from her bag, but when she raised up, she fell face to face with Seon, and her heart missed a beat. He was eyeing her with a regretful expression, but with yet some hint of hope, while she stared at him with worry.
– Hello, Dove, he started, in a gentle tone. Can I sit next to you?
The blonde opened her mouth even if she had no idea of what to answer him, but Sphinx had already made his mind, and woke up in a jump, slamming his palms onto his table, glaring at the brown-haired boy with his eyebrows frowned.
– Move away from her.
Seon ignoring him to smile at Dove enraged him, and at this instant, he could feel jealousy taking control over him. He left his place to stand between him and the young woman, fists clenched.
– I told you to move the fuck away from her.
