EPISODE 53: XCALIBUR AOP 2! UNION OF THE WORLDS! THE SECOND SESSION! THEFEUDAL STATES ERA PART VII: THE ESCAPE UNDER THE COVER OF NIGHT!
Once more, I sat inside our Peristylium with Ciella.
"What's next San?" Ciella asked.
"On the Ninth Day Of Christmas,
My True Love gave to me,
Very thick Doomed Saws
Discount Percentages,
Greetings written on Hailstones
Bowls of Ketchup with Ash
Chopped Blocks of Ice,
Many Chicken Fries,
Innumerable Nuts in Shells,
Tons of Boiled Eggs
And Lemon Aid from a Pair Tree"
I sang.
"Very thick Doomed Saws?" Ciella wondered what I meant.
"From here on out, our people's flight begins however to free them completely, we must incapacitate the Weaver Of Calamity's sentries who would raise an alert the moment we attempt an escape and cripple all their communication devices so that they can't call for backup. When we designed camouflaged gear, we began to cripple their senses. Now we've succeeded in driving them from their fortress leaving the prisoners completely unguarded and unsupervised. All that's left is to cripple their communication hence 'Very thick Doomed Saws'. It will also cripple the organizational structure of their entire army as well as the ability to coordinate army personnel. It's time for me to utilize a special Dreamweaving Technique I've been saving up for a moment like this. A solar flare strong enough to generate an Electro-Magnetic Pulse to distort their senses even more!" I declared with determination.
That night, as our people slept in their cells, I spoke with them after leaving a message in the Basilisk's chamber.
"It's finally time. Don the protective gear we assigned to you earlier and set it to a dark colour. We'll have to use the shadows of the walls to mask our own shadows and evade detection from above" I explained to everyone.
Next, I called forth some clones and ordered them to gather my people's old clothes.
"What do you need these for?" one of our villagers asked.
"To distort the senses of a potential pursuit squad. Your current clothes should mask your scents however your old clothes would probably give you away" I said and created many shadow clones.
I split them into teams and assigned to each team a number of clothes and sent them away in multiple directions. I soon received messages confirming that the teams were being pursued.
"As expected, these serpents track prey by scent" I thought to myself and led the captives away via another route.
After we left, I assigned some clones to covering our tracks and instructed them to take alternate paths beginning with our own tracks so that when a pursuit team was sent after us, it would look as though we broke up into multiple smaller groups and went separate ways.
I left a few of my clones back at the enemy's camp to generate intense flares. These flares disrupted the senses of any Basilisks nearby as well as various Nightmares that tracked foes via variations in temperature.
"That's an EMP wave for you right there. One generated via heat" I chuckled evilly.
"By the way San, what message did you leave behind for the Basilisk?" Ciella asked curiously.
When we finally arrived at our Peristylium, our people shed tears of joy while celebrating their freedom. There was lots of music, dancing, eating and merry-making. Tales were exchanged over the campfire. The same was occurring in the Peristyliums of my siblings and comrades.
"Well, it was a simple message,
"On the Tenth Day Of Christmas,
My True Love gave to me
Two Broken Fangs,
Very thick Doomed Saws
Discount Percentages
Greetings written on Hailstones
Bowls of Ketchup with Ash
Chopped Blocks Of Ice
Many Chicken Fries
Innumerable Nuts in Shells
Tons of Boiled Eggs
And...a lemon from a Pair Tree"
I said and smiled at Ciella. She smiled back.
"With this, we've completed the Feudal States Era Phase" I said.
After pursuing my clones in vain and losing track of them, the Basilisk Army returned to its fortress braving the Debilitation caused by the Phoenix Tears. When the Basilisk entered its chamber, it found two Broken Fangs placed on a note. The fangs alone were enough to spook it for they were the fangs of a Basilisk. It pushed the fangs aside with its tail and read the note.
"These fangs belong to your brother who was defeated four hundred years ago. Leave my people alone and I won't hunt you. Hunt them again and the next time...I won't be so lenient" the message read.
"He did all this without relying on the Nightbane?! Just how frightful are Dreamweavers?!" the Basilisk trembled at the thought.
"Congratulations on completing XCalibur AOP 2! Union Of The Worlds Chapter 2: The Feudal States Era!" my Dad's voice rang.
