EPISODE 174: XCALIBUR AOP 2! UNION OF THE WORLDS! THE FOURTH SESSION! THEMOUNTAIN OF OLYMPUS! THE ASCENT! THE SEAL OF IDENTITY PART LXXIX: THE LUMINOUSBLOODLINE LIMIT! THE PYROSTELLIS LUMINARES PART III: MATERIAL LIGHT PART II:REFLECTION AND TRANSPARENCY!

We listened closely to my Dad as he taught us more.

"Today, I'll be teaching you more about Transparency and Reflection" my Dad said.

"You said Transparency determines how much Light passes through an object and that Light Rays that pass through an object determine the object's invisible characteristics whereas Light Rays that are reflected off an object determine its visible characteristics" I recalled.

"The more the Light that flows through an object, the greater the invisibility of the object. The more the Light that is reflected off an object, the greater the object's visibility" my Dad said.

"I see" Keiran thought deeply on my Dad's words.

"However, there is another rule, related to this fact but quite different. Light Rays that are reflected off an object reveal the object's external features. Light Rays that flow through an object on the other hand reveal the internal features of the object. With regards to the amount of Light that either flows through or is reflected off an object, there are generally three classifications of Objects. The first classification has to do with objects that allow the maximum amount of Light through. Such objects are referred to as Transparent Objects and are often completely invisible. Air for instance is completely invisible because it allows the maximum amount of Light through. The second classification of objects with relation to Light are objects that allow some portion of Light through but reflect the rest. Objects that are able to do this reveal a portion of their internal and external features while concealing the rest. Basically, only a fraction of the object's external and internal features are revealed. The rest of its external and internal features are concealed. These objects are commonly referred to as Translucent Objects. An example is Water which becomes more and more invisible as Light penetrates its depths and more and more visible as Light is reflected off its surface. You'll note that the surface of Water becomes more and more invisible, the clearer the Water is and more and more visible as Light is reflected off its surface. The depths of the Water also become more visible as Light passes through the body of Water and more and more invisible as Light is reflected off the surface of the Water. Another example of this is glass that is translucent. The third classification of Objects with relation to Light are objects that allow the least amount of Light through or do not allow Light through at all. In other words, this classification of objects reflect a maximum amount of Light instead of absorbing it. Such objects cause only their external features to be visible. Their internal features on the other hand are completely concealed. If such an object is placed between a Source Of Light and its Destination, everything behind the object is completely concealed while everything between the Source Of Light and the Object becomes visible. Objects such as these are commonly referred to as Opaque Objects" my Dad explained.

"I see, so Transparent Objects are completely invisible because they allow the maximum amount of Light through. Translucent Objects have their external and internal features partially visible and partially invisible because they allow some Light to pass through them while reflecting the rest and Opaque Objects have their external features completely visible and their internal features completely invisible because they allow minimum Light through but rather reflect the maximum amount of Light" Arlene realized.

"You seem to understand this lesson" my Dad said.
