"Today, I'll be teaching you about a unique relationship that exists between Lightning and Earth. It's fundamentally expressed through Magnetism" Fenrir said.
Saito recalled the technique Keiran utilized while they dueled Concordia's Team in the School's Library shortly after the Solar Eclipse rampage.

"Ionization does not occur only amongst particles of Air. It can occur between Solid Objects as well or simply put amongst blocks of Earth which is why Electrostatic Energy accumulates when two Solid Objects are rubbed together vigorously. This Electrostasis in a sense occurs in the Earth's Mantle where Magma flows. Magma as you know is composed of multiple Elements below the Earth fused through liquidization as a result of Heat. Simply put, it exists as a result of the Heat in the Earth's Core melting the Solid Mantle of the Earth. The Magma in the Earth's Mantle is composed of a fusion of numerous Elements in the Earth. As these elements mix together, the excess Heat agitates the atoms present in the Elements. As you already know, Heat has the ability to agitate atoms amplifying their Mobility in the process. This agitation causes the atoms to rub against one another vigorously and in the process they may give out and gain electrons triggering Ionization. The Scale Of Ionization in the Earth's Mantle is responsible for the Electromagnetic Barrier that surrounds the Earth protecting it from the harmful ultraviolet rays of the Sun. When the ultraviolet rays of the Sun make contact with the Electromagnetic Barrier surrounding the Earth, the phenomenon known as 'Aurora' becomes visible. You could say 'Aurora' is the manifestation of the Electromagnetic Barrier generated by the Earth's Core and Mantle reacting to shield the Earth from the Sun's harmful ultraviolet rays. It's the manifestation of ultraviolet rays of Sunlight making contact with the Electromagnetic barrier generated by the Earth's Core and Mantle" Fenrir explained.
I noticed everyone staring at me.
"Why are you all staring at me like that? It's rude to stare you know?" I said.
"You can't possibly be that daft. You're the only one we know whose Sigil is a Cape" Saito said.
"I don't get your point" I whistled nonchalantly.
"You're so dumb" Concordia sighed in exasperation.

"Needless to say, when the element of Lightning makes contact with the Element Of Earth, there's a great possibility that the Earth might achieve the unique trait of Magnetism. This trait gifts the Earth with another unique trait called 'Polarity' for both attraction and repulsion. When magnetism is achieved, parts of the Earth with like magnetic poles repel one another while those with unlike magnetic poles attract each other. Magnetism has many potential applications including Navigation through unlike poles that attract. It's precisely because of the Magnetic Energy concentrated at the Earth's Poles that compasses can be utilized as Navigational Tools. Another unique trait that can be gained is Levitation through the application of like poles that repel. There are Combative Applications as well such as the ability to deflect metallic weapons that are susceptible to magnetism" Fenrir explained.
