THE SEAL OF IDENTITY PART IX: BALANCING THESCALES PART III: THE FIRES OF VITALITY, THE FLAMES OF FORTITUDE AND THE BLAZEOF PURIFICATION VS THE INFERNO OF DESTRUCTION PART II: RESTORING VITALITY TOTHE FIERY ZONE!
We leapt into the Weaver Of Calamity's territory scattering large numbers of Nightmares in the process. The Shinsei Ryuuenjinns towering above each of us mirrored our combat techniques perfectly and greatly amplified both the range and force of our attacks. They also guarded us whenever we put up a defensive stance.
I smiled.
"So this is what it's like to fight with a Living Sigil huh?" I said with a smirk.
"Technically, this isn't a Living Sigil. It's more of a coordination technique with a bit of amplification" Saito corrected.
"It comes pretty close though" I said.
"True that" Keiran said.
"Let's take things up a notch" I said as the Nightmares in Zanböngfar's army charged to attack us.
"What's the plan?" Ariel asked.
"First...I'll make some clones" I said and suddenly multiplied into a huge number of clones.
"When did you learn to do that?!" my siblings stared at me in shock.
"How do you think I evaded the Basilisk's stare when I'm a close range type?" I said with a smirk.
"I wondered about that" Keiran admitted.
"It's a Josec Fenix Original. Cloning via tremendous oscillation. First things first. Saito, is the Weaver Of Calamity's Inferno getting to you? Is this field hostile to you?" I asked.
"Why would you ask that?" Saito asked as we continued to fight the Weaver Of Calamity's Forces.
"The Blue Flame Of Fortitude is a Protective Flame but at the same time it's a double edged sword. I want to be sure you're not enduring more stress than the rest of us" I said.
"I was born with this affinity and I've been trained with it all my life. I've fought countless Nightmares. I understand its strengths and limitations better than you do. It's why I worked so hard to raise my stamina. I understand your concern though and you're right...I am slightly at a disadvantage" Saito said.
"Keiran, raise a field of Blaze around Saito and Ariel. Ariel, Saito...it would be best you resort to Mid-Range and Long-Range Attacks. Attack from within the Field Of Blaze. Ariel may leave it if she wants to but she should always have a Field Of Blaze around her. Ariel, Keiran and I will generate Fields Of Blaze around ourselves and Ciella as well" I said.
"Understood" everyone agreed and performed the roles assigned to them.
"Don't tell me the entire plan revolves around defense?" Keiran chuckled.
I smirked.
"There is such a thing as forcing an adversary to retreat by holding a Defensive Position. In battles, it can be used to gradually capture an enemy's territory and back them into a corner. Another Josec Fenix Original called 'The Labyrinth Of The Defender'" I said with a smirk.
I assigned each of the clones I had generated to defending Concordia's Domes.
"I see...so Concordia's Domes are Outposts huh?" Keiran realized.
"Exactly. If we can defend each of the Domes until the Infernos within them die out, we can gradually extend the Zone Of Recovery by using the Domes as a Defensive Base" I said.
"Hey...hey...now you're going into Stratagems" Keiran stared at me suspiciously.
I laughed.
"You're right but our enemy is the Inferno representing the Weaver Of Calamity's Influence" I said.
I assigned a clone to guarding Ciella and each of my siblings.
"I'll watch your backs" I assured them.
Saito, Ariel, Keiran and I generated Fields Of Blaze around each of Concordia's Domes. The moment we did that, the Nightmares attacking the Domes began to withdraw from them.
"It's working! Now we need to extend the Fields!" I ordered.
Each of us amplified the Fields Of Blaze around the Domes.
When the Infernos within the Domes died out, Concordia widened the range of the Domes to capture more of the Inferno while ensuring that the Newly Captured Zones were cut off from the Old Zones via Airtight Walls to ensure that the Inferno from the Newly Captured Zones would not spread into the Old Zones.
"This is indeed a Josec Fenix Original. The Nightmares in the Weaver Of Calamity's Army are gradually being backed into a corner" Saito admitted as I saw the Weaver Of Calamity's Zone gradually diminish in size.
My Dad's Zone expanded greatly in proportion to the diminishing of the Weaver Of Calamity's Zone until eventually, all the Nightmares disappeared.
"We've captured this Field. We're going to have to ascend to a higher level" I said as massive stairs materialized in front of us.
