Chapter 4

ALI'S POV

Safe to say that I somehow learned from Adrian's lessons of flying. After 3 days of learning how to fly properly, it was time to show the fanatic Sif when it came to flying. She was excited when she learned I was finally flying on a broom after all our failed attempts when I was in first-year. The afternoon before going back to Hogwarts at night, I decided to finally show her after our training without Perrie.

"Up," I commanded the broom that I brought from Hogwarts to Earth 616. It sprang to my hands and I caught it with ease.

Sif clapped proudly from her comfortable seat on a rock. I laughed before straddling the broom the safe way Adrian taught me.

"Okay, this was where I failed when I flew again," I told her. I kicked off the ground with the perfect amount of pressure needed and I was now levitating off the ground.

"And now you can do it!" She excitedly exclaims. I love how supportive she really is.

I flew around as she made me do tricks in the air. I gave her a chance to ride too with me as the guide. We ended flying around until the AM because I lost track of time. When my Guardian transported me back to Hogwarts later in the night, I went straight to completing my stacked up homework. I hadn't known what time I had slept but I woke up on my parchment pool bed with a jump when something fell from the bookshelves inside our room. I had fallen asleep without wanting to do so and now it was the next day. My head was hazy as I scratched my eyes, looking weirdly at the fallen Owl Paper mache of Noelle, a dorm mate. It quickly registered in my head that the room was empty, beds made and that I was late for class.

Shit.

I threw on a white turtleneck, black skirt, stockings and black shoes. My Slytherin robe lousily wrapped around my body and my green and silver necktie just wrapped around my neck without being secured. On the run to Potions, with the hallways empty and eerie, I threw my long black hair into a ponytail, my bangs springing out with each hop I took.

Outside the classroom, I halted to a stop and took a deep breath. This was my first time being late and it had to be during Professor Snape's class. It could have been a kinder professor but no, I had to mess up. I tied my tie and straightened my robe before entering the classroom.

Once the door creaked, I watched as each head turned around. I closed the door as silent as possible and looked around the classroom. Zara caught my eye first and she had a sorry pout, sorry for what's coming next.

"Torres," Professor Snape's voice made me shiver.

I looked at the front of the class where Snape and his brewing cauldron was displayed. There were already ingredients and notes on the chalkboard that I couldn't understand. When I looked directly at Professor Snape's cold eyes, I felt shivers crawl down my spine.

"You are late," He pointed out the obvious. He tapped his wand on the cauldron, looking at me disappointingly.

"I'm sorry," my voice, so small, quivered but I made a strong expression.

"Get to your seat, now," He ordered and everyone's eyes followed as I passed by the back of the classroom.

I kept my eyes on the floor, my heart trembling in case I would fall and embarrass myself further. I looked up for a brief moment when it was Oliver who I made contact with. He was watching me too with a hard face. I just walked faster to the space Zara has left for me.

"That's detention for you, Miss Torres. Clean the room later," Snape said as I had sat in my seat. "Going back to what I was saying..."

I massaged my head, resting my elbow on the table, an emerging headache killing my vibe more. Zara handed me a paper which contained the ingredients and procedure that was more understandable than the one the board.
