Chapter 16

"Hey, we're good?" Harley asked as the quinjet descended back on New Asgard's grass.

I looked over at him from the co-pilot seat. I showed him a smile and nodded. "Yeah, we're good."

After another long weekend back on Earth 616, after the emergency call from Fury and taking out a few more lurkers, I was finally going back home. Each time I transport back to Hogwarts, the more jittery and excited I become.

I had come back the night of Sunday and made it right in time for supper. The Great Hall was filled with students as the last week of school for the year was here. The Christmas decorations were as beautiful as ever. I felt a chill on my spine, not just because of the cold, but as well as the effect of seeing the students that I have grown fond of seeing around.

I picked up a few secrets here and there to share with Zara or Oliver. Speaking of which, I excitedly walked down the aisle and reached my friends. They were in a good mood when they saw me. It feels like a long time since I have had a long and good conversation with them even if we do always sit together during meals and hang in the common room.

"Hi," I excitedly greeted, sitting beside Flint, across from Zara.

"What are you so happy about?" Flint accused.

I rolled my eyes. "It's Christmas. My favourite season."

"It's so bloody damn cold, how do you even like Christmas," He continued with his meanness.

"You literally live in a place so cold 24/7, aren't you used to it by now?"

He scoffed and rolled his eyes. I shook my head and turned my attention to Adrian. "Hey, Adri, do you have anything to say about Christmas?"

He looked up from his food with furrowed brows. "I guess it's a nice and pretty season. Not my favourite though. Summer's more of mine."

"At least you don't hate it unlike this one beside me."

Flint started saying something to defend himself but our heated conversation didn't last long because Adrian and Terence had decided to switch the conversation to the console players they planned on sneaking into the common room. Flint had decided to leave the conversation hanging and talked about their plan. Zara and I looked at each other with judging eyes before synchronously rolling them.

After my Transfiguration class, I had to talk to my partner about our project and where we are with it. However, when I had turned around, he wasn't there on his seat anymore.

"Hey, Zara, I'm going to finish my project with Wood this lunch. I won't be with you guys," I told her as I wore my book bag.

"I guess Adrian and Flint have to eat by themselves."

I raised an eyebrow before it clicked. She cheekily smiled, putting a strand of hair behind her ear. I giggled, "You do you, Zara."

I quickly left after in hopes to catch Oliver. The hallway was filled with students free from their fourth period and heading to lunch making it a little harder. I zigzagged my way going towards the Great Hall where hopefully he went.

I looked at one hallway and smiled to myself. I briskly walked towards the tall brunet boy who was walking by himself. When I had caught up to him, I casually walked beside him without looking up.

"Ah, perfect, the exact person I was looking for," Oliver exclaimed beside me.

I looked at him with an eyebrow raised. "What?"

"I was going to tell you something that's why I was heading this way."

"To where?"

"Behind Hogwarts. Our tree."
