Chapter 26

"What the fuck was that?!" Zara was shouting while we half-run away from the battle.

"Ughm... reductor charm," I said with flushed cheeks, my grip on Oliver's hand tightening. We turned a corner and saw two first-year Gryffindors who's robes were dirty and hairs were messy. I looked up at Oliver and said, "We've got to take them. They're in shock."

"How'd you know they're in shock?" He asked with furrowed brows.

"Because I was too."

"Where do we take them then?"

"The Common Room. Our common room."

He looked over to the first year Gryffindors and sighed. "Okay, okay."

I smiled up to him before turning back to Adrian and Zara who were following us. "Do you think Gryffindors are allowed in our common room?" I asked them, earning a wide-eyed reaction.

"It would be a first," Adrian said.

"Only if it's a matter of death," Zara added, breathless from running.

"It is," I simply answered. I looked back at them, jumping over a rock in the corridor, probably from the Gryffindor hallway as we weren't that far from it yet.

A blonde girl with a plait barely held by her hair tie was with a short haired brunette, her strands flying around. Oliver knew them better, so he was the one who talked to them, crouching to look at them from their eye level. Adrian, Zara and I took a moment to catch our breath on the opposite wall while Oliver calmed them down seeing that they were crying. He took their hands and barely audible whispers of care left his mouth causing my heart to leap out of its cage. He glanced over at us and I nodded with a small smile. He looked back at the girls and smiled before he took them over to us.

He moved to my ear and whispered, "They said they saw Creevay a few moments ago covered in blood."

"Did they tell where he went?" I asked with worry. I owe Colin Creevay big time, for he provided moving developed pictures of Oliver and I during the Dawn Dance.

"They just saw him pass them. If he... he passed out from the blood, assuming it's coming from him, we may see him up ahead."

I took a shaky breath, looking at the tiny girls who were anxiously waiting by Oliver's side. They were obviously intimidated by Adrian, Zara and I. "Hopefully not," I whispered. I turned back to everyone and said, "Come on, then. Keep your eyes out for a blond kid covered in blood."

"Who?" Zara asked as we started walking at a fast pace.

"Colin Creevay," I answered beside her. Oliver was walking slower than what a brisk walk meant to him because he had a girl on each hand. I whispered to Zara, "Do you think he's enjoying having girls?"

"We both know girls play quidditch better without all the ego included," She whispered back with a smile.

I giggled but it was stopped when Adrian called my name. I looked back at him and he was pointing to a far corner we passed by. Confusion turned to anxiousness when I saw who he was pertaining to.

"Oh, shit," I murmured, breaking off from the group and walking over other debris that ended up on this part of the castle. Behind a couple of tiny rocks was Colin Creevay against a stone bench, eyes closed, dirty blond hair and his robe missing, showing his white undershirt covered in blood. I carefully kneeled down by his side, moving his hanging head to stand straight on his neck, and checked for a pulse.

"Is he..." Adrian drifted, standing beside me.

"He's alive," I said with a relieved sigh. I heard them sigh from behind me as well. I removed the robe I was wearing and wrapped it around Colin's dry bloody shirt before Adrian carried him.
