It was now evening when Wanda and the rest of the group were sitting in the living room watching a movie. Tony, Bucky, and Sam sat on the floor in front of the couch. Wanda sat on the corner of the couch cuddled up with Nat and sharing a blanket while Steve sat at the other end smushed by Nat's legs. "Could you please move smelly legs," Steve pleaded. Vision offered up his seat to Steve which was a stool that was positioned next to the couch beside Wanda. Steve let it go and rubbed Nat's feet and all of the built-up tension from fighting was released. However, Steve began to tickle her causing her laughs to muddle the sound of the TV and everyone turned to look at Nat's face turning beet red from laughter.

"Ste-eve pl-heeheese stopppp!" Nat giggled until there was a blood-curling scream emanating from upstairs. Wanda rushed to get up first and sprinted towards the elevator with Tony running right behind her. Vision phased through floors and was first to y/n's bedroom door. The elevator doors opened and Wanda shouted "Vision do not phase into her room! Knock first!" Vision's arm was midway through phasing through the door before he pulled it back and knocked. "Y/n it's Vision, are you okay?" Wanda and Tony reached the door and took a few seconds to catch their breath.

"Y/n it's Wanda, I can help you. Please let me in." Wanda's forehead was up against the door. The rest of the team was now outside the door waiting for y/n to open it. Wanda then heard a faint whimper and sniffle that came closer to the door. "Only Wanda, please." She mumbled through the door. "That's fine, I'm coming in now." The rest of the team turned around as Wanda slowly opened the door to see y/n's bloodshot eyes and dried tears running down her cheeks. "Oh sweetie, come here." Wanda put her arm around y/n's shoulders and walked her to the edge of her bed to take a seat.

"You don't have to tell me about the dream if you aren't comfortable, but I can sit with you as long as you need," Wanda assured her. Wanda also had nightmares for a few months when Pietro passed away, and Nat and Tony helped her a lot to get through them. It took about 4 months for Wanda to not have a nightmare, and now she only gets them very occasionally.

Y/n's mouth opened but nothing came out. "I-" she began. "It's okay you don't have to say anything." Wanda rubbed y/n's back. "Would you like to come and watch a movie with us? You can also have dinner now since you've been sleeping all day and haven't eaten," Wanda suggested. Y/n looked up and met Wanda's gaze and gave her a weak smile. Wanda smiled back and took y/n's hand and brought her out of her room where the team all were sitting on the floor patiently waiting.

"Y/n is going to join us in watching Batman," Wanda told the team as they all got up. "That's great to hear," Steve smiled. "Good thing I left those last few pieces of pizza alone," Sam joked making y/n giggle. They all headed to the elevator together with Wanda still holding on to y/n's hand.

* 2 hours later *

Everyone was sitting in the positions they were in before in the living room except Steve sat on the ground next to Bucky while y/n sat in Wanda's place, making Wanda in the middle and Nat in Steve's original place. Y/n watched the movie intently, she hadn't watched one since her sister was alive.

"This guy just gives me Tony vibes, to be honest," Y/n blurted out and then quickly regretted it when everyone turned to look at her. But then everyone busted out laughing because they actually agreed, except Tony, who still was laughing anyways. "That's so rude. I'm way better than Batman," Tony huffed crossing his arms and looking away dramatically. This made y/n giggle even more making Tony smile hearing her laugh.

Sam was first to head to bed as the time was near midnight and they had training in the early morning. Everyone slowly began to follow suit leaving Wanda and y/n sitting on the couch talking. Y/n and Wanda sat on opposite ends of the couch facing each other and their legs intertwined under a blanket. Y/n noticed Wanda's green eyes beginning to droop as they talked. "You can head to bed, I didn't mean to keep you up." "I guess that's a good idea, I have training with Nat in the morning and she never holds back," Wanda agreed.

The two got up from the living room and made their way to the second floor where their rooms were located. Wanda walked y/n to her door. "Good night, y/n. If you need anything don't be afraid to ask." Y/n then looked up and met Wanda's gaze. She then leaned in and embraced Wanda with her arms around her waist. "Thank you, for helping me." Wanda's heart warmed at the feeling of the hug. Y/n then opened the door to her room and waved good night to Wanda.

Y/n couldn't fall asleep since she had such a long nap during the day, so she decided to browse Netflix on her TV. She then saw Grey's Anatomy and remembered she left off towards the end of season 8, so she started a few episodes before the finale. After 2 hours, she finished the finale of season 8, y/n cried quietly to mourn Lexie's death in the show. Lexie was her favorite character because she reminded her of her sister. Both would light up a room whenever they stepped in, were very smart, and had a huge heart for others. Liv would look up to y/n just as Lexie looked up to Meredith.

Y/n then heard noises coming out of Wanda's room, so y/n collected herself and got up to knock on Wanda's door which was right next door. "Wanda are you okay?" No answer. "Wanda?" The door was unlocked so y/n went in and saw Wanda tossing and turning in bed and mumbling incoherent words. Y/n crouched down beside the bed and shook her lightly. "Wanda, Wanda, wake up."

Wanda's eyes shot open and sat up making y/n flinch from the sudden movement. "I think you were having a bad dream there, I figured I'd come and console you since you did that with me," y/n chuckled as she sat next to Wanda on the bed and put her hand on Wanda's shoulder. Wanda's dark brown hair was tangled from her squirming in bed. "It wasn't my nightmare. It was yours, or a memory rather," Wanda spoke quietly. "They did terrible things to you, I'm so sorry," Wanda began to cry softly covering her mouth with her hand. "Hey, it's okay, you told me that I'd be okay here. And I think I'm already doing better and I've only been out of the cage for less than 12 hours," y/n said jokingly making Wanda laugh a little.

"Why aren't you sleeping?" Wanda questioned. "Oh, I was watching Grey's Anatomy up until when Lex- wait I shouldn't spoil that," y/n stopped. "Girl, I'm all caught up, Lexie dying was a big tragedy I've got to say, but it only gets worse," Wanda said with a maniacal smirk. "Worse?!" Y/n exclaimed. "I think I'm gonna take another 6 year break from watching the show after that." "Oh please, you're such a wimp," Wanda teased. Y/n rolled her eyes and got up from the bed to go back to her room. "Wait," Wanda said. "Could you stay with me tonight? Maybe that'll help with both of our nightmares." "Are you sure? Would Vision be okay with that?" Wanda laughed, "You think I'm with Vision? We're just friends, I think our connection with the mind stone connects us in a deep way so I can see why you thought that." "Well if you're okay with it," y/n pulled up the blanket on the other side of Wanda's bed and wrapped herself in it, lying close to the edge.

Wanda lied on the other edge, but neither of the girls could fall asleep. They slowly inched closer to each other not trying to make it seem weird to the other until their backs were against each other. The heat from one another helped to soothe them and they eventually drifted to a peaceful sleep.
