Revelation: Wanda Maximoff x Reader

Chapter 23

Y/n made her way back into Wanda's bedroom and flopped onto her bed with a groan. 

*Can we get back to our conversation?* Wanda queried. She wanted to clear up her feelings and also wanted to know how y/n was feeling as well. *The least you could do right now is not mess up my bed, it took me a whole 5 minutes to make it.*

Just to irritate her, y/n then squirmed and pulled up the comforter and rolled around under Wanda's covers leaving wrinkled everywhere. *I hate you,* Wanda groaned. Y/n giggled before curling up into a cozy position.

*Fine we can talk. I don't want these feelings for you. You hurt me. You knew what I went through, but you still suggested that I let them poke me with their needles again. You didn't even run after me. Feeling loved by you felt so refreshing because for all these years I've felt nothing, but then here you are, bringing me carrot cake and holding me, a stranger, while I sob. I'm just at a loss right now, Wanda* you sighed.

*I didn't mean to hurt you. I wanted you to be safe, and the Avengers, they wouldn't hurt you. They aren't Hydra. And what you were saying that day, that we wouldn't think twice to save ourselves before we'd save you, is untrue. In truth, I would always be there for you. I will always be here for you.* Wanda assured the girl that possessed her body who was now tearing up.

*I'm sorry I left. I'm just used to running when things get hard.* y/n apologized, now guilt washed over her after hearing Wanda's response. If she had known earlier then maybe she wouldn't have run away. Maybe she wouldn't be on some other planet. Maybe she would be lying in bed cuddled up with Wanda watching Grey's Anatomy.

*Why don't we watch some Grey's? The remote is on the bedside table next to you.* Y/n glanced to her right and saw the tv remote sitting on the table and so she reached over to grab it. 

*Which episode?* y/n questioned as she opened Netflix on the tv. *You're gonna make fun of me if I told you what my favorite episode is,* Wanda whined. 

*If it's anything other than the musical episode then I think you're okay,* y/n joked, but when she heard silence she sprang up from her position.

*No way! You're joking! Right? That's the cringiest episode!* y/n exclaimed. *I know I know, but seeing Arizona's love for Callie just hurt in a good way, you know?* Wanda defended herself, and y/n had to admit, that was nice to see.

As the episode ended, there was a knock on Wanda's door.

"Come in!" y/n yelled! In walked Vision who had a questionable look in his eyes. 

*He knows about this, you can trust him,* Wanda cooed in y/n's subconscious allowing the tension in her posture to dissipate.

"Hello y/n. And Wanda, if you can still hear me," he awkwardly greeted still standing by the entrance. 

"Hey, uh, you can sit down" y/n gestured to the edge of the bed and Vision nodded. The bed dipped as he took a seat and he took in a deep breath.

"I first wanted to tell you that I am glad that you're doing okay. After the events of the past week, I only wish that your suffering cease," the android began while his eyes averted Wanda's. His love for her remained, he wasn't speaking to her right now even though she was still sitting right there.

"I secondly want to apologize on behalf of the rest of the Avengers. We treated you unfairly and we should have respected your wishes and not push you."

Y/n's eyes never wavered from Vision. He sat and pondered each word he uttered, each word that was so beautifully said and she truly appreciated them even though she despised him for being so touchy-touchy with Wanda. Not that she was jealous or anything.

*I didn't peg you for the jealous type* Wanda mocked which y/n ignored for the time being. She forgot Wanda could read her mind, but Wanda restrained herself and only allowed herself to listen to what y/n was thinking at the time, not invading her past memories. Wanda couldn't really avoid not listening to y/n's thoughts, they would just appear and Wanda had no way of ignoring them.

"Thank you, Vision. That means a lot. I've just always been an insecure person, even before Hydra. I let my self-deprecating thoughts get to me, I wasn't strong enough to ignore them, but it's okay now, I think." 

Vision finally looked up and gave her a half-smile. "I'm not saying now, but when you're comfortable, I believe it would be best to let the team know of this," Vision suggested making sure he added no persuasion that would lead y/n to think he was against her.

Y/n nodded, she knew that she would have to someday. After what happened with Loki, she felt a bit weary being around him. Even though he said he did all of that to bring out her powers, there was something about it that felt like he was being serious.

*What happened with Loki?* Wanda questioned and had a concerning tone. Wanda didn't forget about that memory of Loki standing over y/n in the Hydra facility. It boiled the blood in her veins, but she didn't want to tell y/n yet. 

*It's nothing, I can explain after Vision leaves—* y/n said but then Wanda gasped when she regained control of her body again. It felt like a strong ocean wave washed over her and she just stood up again to catch her breath.

"Y/n?" Vision asked when he saw the frazzled look on Wanda's face, but when he saw the way her eyes softened, which was absent before, he knew he was speaking to Wanda. "What happened?" he asked as he scooted closer and put his hand on her cheek to soothe her.

"She left, again," Wanda sighed and leaned into the touch.

Y/n coughed as she rewoke in Asgard, still sitting at the fountain. However, it was pitch black outside and there was one person who was crouched in front of her, their hands cupped y/n's face.

"God, you scared me!" Val yelled, her eyes were glossy from the tears welled up in her eyes, and pulled y/n into an embrace and kissed the top of her head. 

What the hell is y/n gonna do now?
