Revelation: Wanda Maximoff x Reader

Chapter 25

*Thank god you're back,* Wanda sighed a relief when she lost control of her body, but that feeling went away when she witnessed y/n's obstructing thoughts. Wanda was lying on her bed, like always, attempting to read a book, but she couldn't keep her focus on it because all she could think about was y/n. 

*Wanda,* y/n whimpered out. She felt betrayed all over again, but worse. With the Avengers she was able to at least escape them, but here she was stuck on a foreign planet with Loki. How was she going to get out? 

*Hey hey hey, breathe. Take deep breaths, okay?* Wanda soothed, which helped, but y/n was still conflicted by the situation. Wanda needed to tell her the truth, but she was afraid that y/n would not trust her again since she kept this a secret from her.

*I wanted to tell you about Loki that day when you left for Asgard. I have been so worried that he was going to hurt you again after seeing what he did to you the first time. I'm sorry I never brought it up the last few times you were here, I just wanted you to get comfortable with me again before I dropped a bomb like that on you,* Wanda explained. She was nervous y/n was going to disappear on her again, but she was relieved to see she stayed.

*Don't be sorry, I was the one who chose to leave. He's been trying to get me to control my powers. He evoked them yesterday by threatening to hurt the people I care about, and I went all crazy on him. Thor couldn't stop me either, it was nuts,* y/n chuckled slightly at the thought. She was more powerful than Thor, the God of Thunder, himself. Who would've thought?

*The entire team knows about Loki and what he did to you. They also know that you've been possessing me, or whatever this is, but don't freak out. They're not mad about it. I think it's time you introduced yourself to them again so that we can figure this out,* Wanda explained and y/n nodded. 

She was right, y/n needs help. It's time she finally accepted it. 

*Okay,* y/n sat up from her position on the bed and placed her legs off of the bed, and slapped her knees as she pushed herself off the bed. *Are they in the common area?* she asked as she opened the door to Wanda's room.

*Most likely, yes,* Wanda responded while y/n made her way towards the elevator to the ground floor. As the elevator went down, Wanda asked a question she had been patiently waiting to ask. 

*So, who did Loki threaten to hurt specifically?* Wanda refrained from reading her thoughts to give her a sense of privacy. Wanda did her best to not listen to most of y/n's thoughts, she's been practicing to not read them as they pop up in front of her. However, sometimes she can't help it since they're so loud. 

Y/n tensed up. Should she say that it was Wanda, or should she keep it to herself? Would admitting that she cares about Wanda alter their dynamic? Would it make things different? But Wanda had already said that she cared about her, so what was wrong with basically admitting the same thing?

By the time y/n came up with an answer, the elevator doors opened revealing Nat who stared at her. 

"Hey, y/n," she said nonchalantly as you stepped out of the elevator and y/n gawked at her.

"How'd you know?" she questioned quickly. "You have a different tell than Wanda's and her's was missing just now," she shrugged her shoulders as y/n continued to stare at her dumbfounded.

*What?! I do not have a tell. Ask her what my tell is,* Wanda demanded with a huff.

"She's asking to know what her tell is," y/n grumbled and Nat laughed. "Oh, I'm not telling. I'm gonna use this against her whenever I have the chance."

"Can't she just read your mind and find out?" y/n furrowed her eyebrows. 

"She better not because she swore she would stay out of my head. You better keep that promise, Wanda," she tapped y/n's head gently to signify she was speaking to Wanda.

"Okay, anyways. We need you to talk with the team, do you think you're up for that?" Nat asked firmly. Y/n wasn't ready, but she knew the longer she stayed in Asgard, the more in danger she would become. But what would stop Loki from following her to Earth?

*You can discuss this with the team, y/n. We're going to help you get out of there,* Wanda assured her.

Y/n nodded slowly and Nat smiled, quickly linking arms with her and brought her over to the common area. They needed to figure out what Loki's intentions are and put a stop to it, and the only way to defeat him is to lure him back to Earth.

"Hey everybody," Nat announced to all of the boys sprawled out in the living room with her arm linked around Wanda's, "we have a surprise visit from y/n." Everyone's eyes glanced up at y/n and she took deep breaths to help calm her down. Wanda also said some reassurances, *It'll all be okay, they want to help you.*

Y/n cleared her throat, there was no time for catching up, they needed to start plotting out what to do. "I'm all for reunions, but I don't know how much time I have right now, so we really need to figure out a plan," she scratched her neck and was met with a chorus of grunts in affirmation.

Soon everyone sat around the conference room table with Steve standing at the end. Tony sat on a chair to y/n's right with Nat to her left. Tony and Steve couldn't feel anything but guilt for the girl since they didn't do enough to make her feel safe and secure in the compound. If only they had been good to her from the start, maybe this could have all been avoided and she would be safe here.

"Okay, so I think we can assume that Loki framed y/n's mother back in Asgard for Thor's assassination attempt. We know Loki was in contact with Hydra and pushed them to experiment further on y/n. This may have likely enhanced her already pre-existing powers and Loki most likely wanted to use her as his own weapon" Steve discussed with the group, Bucky and Sam nodded silently from their side. Vision was eyeing y/n the entire time, well technically Wanda, but he still cared for her as well despite being the reason he couldn't be with Wanda.

"I think it's going to be easiest for us to stop him back here on Earth. I know this could potentially risk many lives of civilians, so we should try to lure him to a more secluded place and be prepared with personnel and weapons. Y/n, your mission is to tell Thor about this and have him bring you back here. If that doesn't work out, then try to escape through the bifrost on your own," Steve made eye contact with y/n and she nodded. 

Y/n could sense her presence being needed back in Asgard, she could faintly hear the door to her room being shaken violently. *Go, I'll let them know you left. Please be safe,* Wanda reassured and y/n replied *I will do my best, thank you for everything Wanda. See you soon, er— not see, but you know what I mean.* Wanda chuckled at her stutters and urged her to leave once again, and this time she did.

Little did y/n know what was waiting for her back at the other end.
