Revelation: Wanda Maximoff x Reader

Chapter 12

Y/n woke up from the bit of sunlight that escaped through the cheap curtains of the window that landed on her eyes. She stretched her arms and legs letting out a relieving groan before sitting up on the bed. She was confused at first, forgetting the events of last night for a short second. She saw Thor sprawled out on the couch and was very close to falling off and Loki was sat up on his bed reading a book of some sort. 

"Good morning, how did you sleep?" Loki asked not looking away from the book. "Fine, I guess," Y/n responded and proceeded to lean up against the headboard of her bed similar to Loki. "Well, I imagine you had some nightmares since you screamed a few times," Loki raised an eyebrow and quickly glanced at her. "I always have nightmares..."

Thor let out a loud yawn and his hand reached for his lower back as he winced. "This sofa is terrible, probably one of the worst things I've slept on," he sat up slowly and rubbed his eyes. "So, are you guys gonna tell me about my 'history'" y/n brought up her hands to use air quotes. "Thor can explain better than I can," Loki replied quickly and he closed his book placing it on his lap. Thor rolled his eyes and sighed. "Fine."

"You are the daughter of Fulla, goddess of secrets, and Vili, the Creator God. Fulla is my mother's younger sister and Vili is my father's younger brother. All of us on Asgard lived in relative peace, and I loved Fulla and Vili dearly. Fulla would always take me out to the mountains and tell me stories about her and my mother's childhood and how they would get into shenanigans. It took her a very long time to bear a child. When she was finally blessed with being pregnant with you, it seemed like everything was now perfect. We all celebrated your birth on Asgard almost 20 years ago. However, just a few months after your birth, your mother was caught trying to poison me. Your father didn't want your mother to be alone, so the two were brought to trial together even though he didn't have anything to do with it. Your mother kept saying she didn't mean to, but my father banished them. Seeing you leave broke me the most. I loved you even though I only had you for a few months of your life," Thor began tearing up.

Y/n took a few minutes to process everything. She remembers her parents' names being Victor and Fiona, thanks to Wanda recovering her memories, and if they were gods, then how were they killed so easily? And her sister? Did this mean y/n was a goddess as well? Does she have powers besides what the HYDRA serum gave her? 

Loki and Thor both took notice of her spiraling even though she was completely frozen in place. "You can ask us any question you would like, cousin," Loki broke the silence. Y/n looked up towards Loki who's eyes held sincerity, "why did you guys come here?" Loki hesitated before clearing his throat, "We came to bring you all back home. We discovered that your mother was not behind Thor's assassination attempt."

Y/n's mouth was agape. Her blood boiled in her veins as she shot up out of bed and grabbed Thor's collar. "You banished us with a snap of your fingers and you didn't even hold an investigation? And now you think I'd want to come back?" Y/n's eyes streamed hot tears down her cheeks. "They're dead because of you! They would be here if you hadn't banished us! I would still have my sister!" Y/n let go of Thor and fell to the floor holding her face in her hands. "Dead? They're dead?" Thor was astonished. He sat down on the floor next to y/n putting his muscly arm around her shoulders as she sobbed. "Sister?" Loki was also shocked by what he heard. 

Y/n cleared her throat and proceeded to explain what she could remember. "We grew up in Canada, near Vancouver. My sister was born when I was four years old. Olivia Skadi Y/L/N, but we all called her Liv. She was my best friend. My parents' names were Fiona and Victor, so I guess they changed their names," y/n wiped her face. 

Thor and Loki remained silent. Y/n knew what they were dying to know, but they didn't want to ask. "When I was 15 and Liv was 11, our parents were killed trying to protect us from HYDRA. It just clicked to me, but I think they knew we had powers of some sort. We were traveling in Switzerland when it happened. It was night when we were all walking back to our hotel room when we were ambushed by the agents in an alley. Mom and dad told us to run away, and as I was pulling Liv away with my arms, I looked back and saw the two of them lifeless on the ground." Y/n paused when she thought of the memory, but soon continued. "We were on the run for two years. We ended up in Norway for most of our time. We stayed in random homeless shelters or even outside in the freezing cold. I think we managed to survive because Liv had a knack for hunting and she got us through the harsh winters. Maybe that was her power. Anyways, HYDRA eventually found us in Oslo. We only went because it was Liv's birthday and I wanted to do something good for it, but they ended up killing her right in front of me. They wanted me. I'm why they're dead." 

The tears erupted from y/n's eyes once again and Thor held her in a tight embrace. "It's not your fault, don't ever say that. If anything, it is our fault for not believing your mother," he whispered into her ear. He and Loki were crying as well. They weren't there for their own family while they were off getting into trouble in New York and New Mexico over the last few years.

"After they took me, they ran tests on me, abused me physically, mentally, emotionally-" y/n hesitated, "sexually." Thor was furious, he wanted to go and kill every HYDRA agent for what they did to his cousin. He felt guilty. If he had tried to listen to his aunt then maybe none of this would've happened. They could've been happy on Asgard. Loki sat down beside y/n's other side after he paced the room for a while. 

"We are going to get revenge on those bastards for what they did to you," Loki said with a menacing voice. "We can't do it alone, brother. You know that." Thor looked at him while he still embraced y/n. He felt her stomach growl. "Let's go to the diner across the street before we continue," Thor suggested. 

*Avengers POV*

Vision and Wanda walked outside of the Avengers compound. The sun was shining and the grass was a beautiful green. The light wind blew Wanda's brown hair and the sunlight hit it in a way making it appear lighter. Vision was infatuated by Wanda's beauty, but he knew she didn't feel the same way. However, he didn't make that stop him.

"How have you been sleeping lately?" Vision questioned as they strolled next to a lake. Wanda wasn't sure if she should tell him the truth because he could tell Stark. "Do you promise not to tell anyone?" Vision gave a confused look but nodded his head. "Ever since I saw y/n's memories, they've been replaying in my dreams. I'm not sure the exact order of what happened when though, they just play out randomly in no particular order. I've had nightmares that were actual things she has experienced. I've seen her family happily playing board games. Her first boyfriend. But one thing that caught me off guard was seeing Thor." 

Vision stopped walking. "Thor? That's odd." Wanda looked up at him, her green eyes looking into Visions making his insides flutter. He never felt this emotion before, only Wanda made him feel this way. "I think there's more to y/n than just being experimented on by HYDRA. We need to find her, Vis." Vision knew that if they ever found y/n, Wanda would most likely end up being with her, but if they didn't, then Wanda would be riddled with more grief. He couldn't bear to see that. He reached down and held Wanda's hand and put it up to the mind stone sitting on his forehead. "What do you feel?" Wanda was confused as to what he was doing. "I- I just feel you?" She said with furrowed eyebrows. "I want you to know that I will do anything for you, Wanda. Whatever will make you happy, I will make sure that you get it. You've experienced so much grief, which I don't personally haven't experienced since I've never had a loved one to lose. But you, Wanda, I don't want to see you grieve. So I promise you that I will help you find her." 

He removed her hand from his forehead and kissed it, she smiled and pulled him into a hug. "Thank you, Vis."
