The door creaked open and y/n stared intently to see who was behind it waiting for her. A tall, buff man with a beard, icy blue eyes, and long blond hair going down to his shoulders stood in front of her and Loki. "Hello, cousin!" Thor greeted ecstatically as he pulled her into a very tight hug making y/n uncomfortable by the touch. "Cousin?" muttered into Thor's shoulder as he let her go from the embrace. "So you really don't remember? Brother, you still haven't explained to her?" Thor raised an eyebrow at Loki who stood with his arms crossed. "I mean she was only a mere child when she came to Midgard. You expect her to remember us?" Thor shrugged his shoulders and nodded his head slightly while y/n observed their interaction. "Well, you could have at least told her." Thor motioned for the two to come inside.
The room was small, but it still fit two full-size beds, a ratty sofa, an old tv, and a small bathroom. Y/n slumped into the couch and dropped her backpack onto the floor. She was finally exhausted from all of the events that have occurred in the span of less than 12 hours. "Can we talk more tomorrow, I don't think my mind can handle more unexpected news all so quickly," Y/n muttered as her eyes fluttered open and close, eventually leaving them to shut altogether.
Thor and Loki didn't talk as to not disturb their baby cousin. Thor picked her up off the couch and placed her on the bed to the right which was closest to the door and he took her place on the sofa. His legs dangled off the end of the couch, but he's slept in worse places so he didn't mind. The brothers eventually fell asleep as well and both dreamt of their memories with y/n on Asgard.
*Thor's Dream POV*
I could hear Mother screaming my name, but it was not in the typical way she does when she calls me for dinner. Something was wrong. "Thor! Thor!" I shot up out of my bed and sprinted out of my door and held my hand out. Mjolnir didn't take long to reach my grasp and I could hear a commotion going on in Mother's room. "Frigga, please. You can't. I'm your sister," I saw my aunt on her knees, tears streaming down her face as my mother held a dagger to her own sister's throat. "Mother! What are you doing!" I heard a baby crying and I turned towards my mother's bed and saw y/n wrapped up in a blanket, wailing. My mother had anger plastered all over her face. Her eyes glared at her sister, maintaining deadly eye contact and breathing heavily causing her to flare her nostrils.
"Fulla has betrayed us, my son," Mother snarled. I had never seen her this way before. She loved her sister, they were practically inseparable for all of their life. "Mother, what do you mean? What did she do?" Aunt Fulla looked at me, her icy blue eyes met mine with desperation. "Mother put the dagger down. We can discuss this civilly." I slowly walked up and put my hand on her wrist, but she spun her head and looked at me, the anger radiated all around her. She looked at me and saw the disappointment in my eyes, so she sighed and dropped her hand away from Fulla's throat. Fulla let out a sigh of relief but was still crying, however, she quickly got up to console y/n.
"Now tell me what happened," I said with a stern voice and put a hand on Mother's shoulder. "I found her in my room a few weeks ago looking at my cabinet of extracts and poisons. I didn't think much of it then, but she continued to come in here whenever I wasn't, and I knew she was touching the bottles as they were always slightly misaligned whenever I'd check them. Today, a vile of poison was missing, so I rushed out of my room and saw it lying in the kitchen next to your mug you always use for your ale. I threw out the ale before a servant brought it to you and found Fulla in my room. She tried to kill you! My baby!" Mother broke down crying into my chest and I held her as she sobbed. I looked up at Fulla who was cradling y/n and had fear in her eyes. I could not grasp the fact that my very own aunt, who has loved me since my birth, could do something like that.
Later that day once father heard of this situation, he brought forth Fulla, goddess of secrets, and her husband, Vili, my father's brother, the Creator God, and were put on trial. I could sense Father's disappointment, he could not believe it either. It felt as though the two of them were hiding something much larger than what was being shown. "I banish the two of you from Asgard effective immediately. You shall live out your days on Midgard with the likelihood of never coming back to Asgard ever again." Father could not even look at them when he uttered the words. He got up from his throne and left the room. Loki and I both shared a look of complete anguish as we would lose our cousin in the midst of this.
I carried y/n as Loki and I took one last walk with her around Asgard. Her beautiful eyes, strong hands, and her bright smile left me in awe. I knew that one day she was going to be stronger than Loki and me and I had a feeling she was already worthy. One thing I resented was that she would pull my hair and not Loki's. "Owww!" I screamed when she yanked a fistful of my luscious locks. Loki snickered as he pulled her out of my hands and proceeded to lightly throw her into the air making her laugh uncontrollably. I couldn't stay mad at that.
It was finally time for her to leave, and Loki and I were the only ones to watch the three of them leave through the Bifrost. We did not even say goodbye, they left in silence, and my heart only went out for y/n.
*Avenger's POV*
It was now the next morning since y/n left. Wanda woke up dazed and groggy as y/n's dreams kept her confused at trying to piece the puzzle of her memories together. She didn't understand why she saw Thor. She didn't know whether or not she should tell someone either because it sounded crazy. And then they would be furious to find out she slept in the same bed with her when she was a danger. Wanda decided to move on and not dwell on the thoughts, so she took a shower and put on leggings and a t-shirt, then headed down for breakfast.
All of the Avengers sat around the kitchen table looking exhausted, their eyes carried large bags and barely stayed open. Wanda looked similar to them despite the shower. Vision, however, was the only one who seemed relatively fine, but he was an android after all. He smiled at Wanda, "Good morning, Wanda. How are you feeling this morning?" "Like shit." Everyone else gave a groan in agreement. They had not come back home until 2 am last night, and today they had a meeting with Nick Fury at 8, so no one really got a good night's rest. "Well, that's sad to hear. Would you like to go on a walk after our meeting?" Vision questioned Wanda with a hopeful tone which Nat took notice of. "Uh sure, that sounds nice," Wanda responded without giving it much thought. She didn't understand Vision's connotation behind it, but Vision had a giddy smile on his face and Nat smirked as she took a sip of her coffee.
The meeting was not the greatest. Fury yelled at them for letting y/n getaway as she could have provided lots of information on HYDRA's whereabouts. No one said anything back. Not even Wanda spoke up on the matter. She was hurt as she thought made some kind of connection with the girl, but obviously, she was wrong. Ever since Wanda had lost Pietro, her heart was empty and nothing seemed to fill it back up. Saving people, beating up enemies, and not even watching sitcoms. But when y/n came in, there was something about her that made Wanda want to try and help her, which in turn helped Wanda. The littlest of achievements made Wanda so proud of y/n, but her leaving ruined all of that progress and left Wanda's heart empty once again. She didn't want to hold onto hope because hope usually results in more heartbreak, but Wanda told herself she'll keep hope for at least a few more months.
