*Avengers Compound*

Wanda felt control over her body once again. It felt as though she was trapped in her consciousness, but she could see everything her body was doing for her. She recognized the mind of whatever infiltrated her brain. Y/n. Since when could she do that? The pain she once was overcome turned into confusion. Was this all in her imagination?

She knew that crying and sulking in her room about someone else's pain wasn't going to help anyone, but she couldn't help it. It's like that the trauma was the only thing on her mind, like a rain cloud that was just constantly raining on her. But she felt different after she regained control again like the load was lighter almost? Wanda was pulled out of her thoughts when she heard a knock on her door and Vision calling her for lunch. She collected herself before she walked to the door and hooked her arm around Vision's, the two heading down together.

"Well someone seems to be in a better mood," Vision commented on Wanda's more bright attitude. "Just because I added some pep to my step made me from being depressed to a ray of sunshine?" Wanda replied in a serious tone making Vision bite his tongue. Wanda then began to chuckle, "I'm just messing with you, Vis, I guess I just realized life is still going, and dwelling on the past isn't going to get me anywhere."

Vision ruffled Wanda's hair and she scrunched her nose, making Vision's heart melt at the sight. He was extremely proud that Wanda was finally overcoming her emotions. Maybe now the two can start focusing on their budding relationship because it seemed like she reciprocated those feelings.

The two arrived at the kitchen where the team was gathering plates and arguing over the food. Nat noticed Wanda and Vision's closeness, which she found a bit peculiar since Vision wasn't really human, but seeing Wanda smiling made her let it go; as long as Wanda was happy then that's all that mattered.

"I made grilled chicken with mushrooms, quinoa salad, and green beans because we've been really unhealthy lately. The only cheat food for today is Sam's famous chocolate chip cookies," Nat announced to the two latecomers. Wanda noticed that Tony wasn't around which made her relieved because she didn't want to face him right now. She needed to cool down for a little bit or else she was going to lash out her powers on him and she doesn't want to hurt anyone out of anger.

Vision noticed Wanda's eyes scouring the room and he knew she was looking for Tony. "Where's Mr. Stark?" Vision questioned Nat. "Bruce is here and the two of them have been catching up like they're two high school best friends that found each other at their 10-year reunion. They'll be up later," Nat got her own plate and began to fill it up.

"I wish someone could make some paprikash, this American food is so bland sometimes," Wanda muttered as she begrudgingly scooped up some quinoa on her plate. Vision overheard her and he came up with a brilliant idea for tonight's dinner. Wanda didn't speak to the other guys even they were poking fun at Vision to get her to laugh or get some kind of reaction. She was still too annoyed that they decided to give up, but she knew that holding a grudge could jeopardize the team in future missions.

"Have you guys seen how Vision's been kissing up to Wanda lately," Sam giggled, gaining Wanda's attention. "What do you mean?" Wanda finally broke her silence and she turned to Vision. "Can't you see? He's totally falling for you!" Bucky added. Vision anxiously glanced at Wanda before getting up and going outside leaving Wanda and the rest of the group.

"Ugh, you guys are such middle schoolers! Can't you ever be mature?!" Nat scolded them before going out to check on Vision. Wanda was in disbelief. She never even noticed Vision's feelings towards her. She didn't even know he had feelings to begin with. She's been so lost in her own head about y/n that she was oblivious to whatever was going on around her.

"I- I didn't even notice. I thought he was just being nice," Wanda said to the guys who were silent after being yelled at by Natasha. "And here's the gang! Is lunch already over?" Stark exclaimed as he walked with Bruce with an arm around his shoulder. Wanda quickly excused herself to avoid the tension in her being released, the slightest irritation would be catastrophic. No one stopped her, they just saw as she rushed to where Nat and Vision had both gone outside.

*New Mexico*

Y/n spent the rest of the afternoon lying on the sofa. She started to feel heavy, like her emotions were weighing her down like they once did in the cell in the Avengers compound. Did it have to do with what happened not too long ago? Did she really enter Wanda's body or was she just hallucinating? She couldn't understand what was happening, so lying on the couch was the only way for her to calm down.

Loki stood outside of the motel contemplating what they should do once they got to Asgard. He was so adament to leave Earth because he knew SHIELD would chase after him if they got the slightest indication he was here. Also, the Avengers hate him after what he did and he was in no mood to get thrown like a ragdoll again by Hulk.

"What are you doing standing out here brother?" Thor came up from behind with a bottle of beer in his hand. "Just thinking about what to show y/n in Asgard. I also was thinking about how to get her to get a grasp on her powers. If she can control them then she'd be so powerful, much more than you and I," Loki looked off to the distance, his voice trailing off ominously. He realized the awkward silence he caused to he turned back to Thor and laughed, "I can't believe we have her back." Thor sighed, "me too, brother."

*SHIELD*

"Fury, we got information that someone landed on Earth a few days ago. It could either be Thor or Loki, but Thor hasn't let the Avengers know of his arrival so this could very much be Loki," Agent Hill informed. Fury turned his swivel chair 180 degrees, "Where did he land?" He matched his fingers pads together and looked towards Agent Hill. "New Mexico, sir. What would you like to do?"

"Call the Avengers and tell them to get to New Mexico ASAP."
