Revelation: Wanda Maximoff x Reader

Chapter 15

They all got back to the motel after our long walk after eating. Y/n could tell Valkyrie was worried for her, but she wasn't ready to open up to her yet. Saying her trauma out loud made y/n feel weak and vulnerable. It was nice that she never had to say anything to Wanda since she already knew everything, but a part of y/n feels guilty about burdening Wanda with her memories. Valkyrie held y/n's hand all the whole way back and y/n leaned my head on her shoulder for most of the walk. There was a comforting energy that she provided y/n that just drew her towards Valkyrie, but she was wary about making any moves because they just met.

All four went inside of Thor's room and we all sat on the beds. Y/n sat with Valkyrie on her bed, while Thor sat with Loki on the other. "I think we should go back to Asgard," Loki said with seriousness. "HYDRA can wait, y/n needs to rest up. Also, we need to work on her powers."

"What powers? All I have is super-strength from whatever HYDRA gave me," y/n furrowed her eyebrows. "Oh cousin, you're the child of a god and goddess, of course, you have powers. We just need to work with you to figure out what they are since it looks like you haven't used them," Loki got up and patted her shoulder. 

Thor smiled at the thought of y/n finally coming home. "I think that's a great idea, Loki. Are you okay with it, y/n?" Everyone turned their heads to look at y/n for her response. She was unsure. Even if Asgard is her birthplace, she feels no connection to the place. However, the thought of being away from HYDRA helped her come to a decision. 

"As long as we're far away from HYDRA then I'm down. I also need some time away from the Avengers, so this should help," y/n pulled on her fingers as she hesitated with her response. Thor jumped from his place on the bed and picked y/n up and spun her around. "I'm so happy! Get your things ready and I'll call on Heimdall to let us in tonight!" Y/n's heart warmed to see Thor so excited. 

"I'm gonna go on a walk, my things are already packed," y/n pushed herself off of Thor and headed for the door. Valkyrie got up as well and gave Loki and Thor a look signifying that she's gonna go with her. Y/n didn't notice Valkyrie was behind her until she felt someone hold her hand. Y/n flinched at the sudden touch, but she let out a sigh when she realized it was the hand she held for the last 30 minutes on her walk.

"Didn't mean to scare you there. I wanted to make sure you were okay, and to get away from the guys, of course, they're annoying," Valkyrie joked making y/n smile. The two stood on the sidewalk, stopping their walk. "I'm just nervous. A part of me doesn't buy into all of this. Like why me? My parents showed no indicators of being gods, and my sister-" y/n's breath hitched at the thought of Liv, "she was talented, but I don't think she was god worthy," y/n continued. 

"Gods don't need to have physical power, internal powers like wit and things like that are just as powerful," Valkyrie explained. "You, y/n, are so strong-willed, and with everything you've endured, I would say you're stronger than Thor ten-fold and I'm sure he believes that as well," Valkyrie wrapped her arms around y/n bringing her into a hug. "And you're also pretty hot, so I gotta give you that," she said into y/n's ear making her face blush. 

"Well, didn't Thor say we couldn't flirt?" y/n shot back with a smirk as they pulled away from the embrace. "Oh he's just jealous that he hasn't gotten any action, he and his girlfriend apparently broke up," Valkyrie slowly took y/n's hand again and pulled her towards a garden that was right across the street.

"Where are we going?" y/n exclaimed while being dragged across the busy street. "I went to this garden when we first got here so I thought it would be a nice place to walk around!" Valkyrie replied trying to weave through the traffic. 

The garden was small, it had a few flowers surrounding a quaint fountain. There was actual grass unlike the rest of the town that had dry dirt everywhere since it was a desert after all. "Wow, I never thought I'd miss seeing grass and it's only been a day," y/n said while crouching down to feel the blades of grass run through her hands.

Valkyrie admired y/n's witty banter, she found it rather amusing because she was used to putting up with Thor and Loki's middle school humor. Seeing y/n's eyes gleam gave Valkyrie the urge to pull her in. The two stood inches apart, y/n was completely caught off guard. She breathed hard, not knowing what Valkyrie was planning to do. Valkyrie leaned her head forward, making their foreheads touch. 

"I think I might be catching feelings for you," Valkyrie whispered with her eyes closed, her warm breath tickling y/n's nose. Y/n smiled, "Oh? Uh really? I mean I guess I'm pretty cute if I do say so myself-" Valkyrie abruptly cut her off with landing her lips onto y/n's. Y/n kissed back until she heard something and pulled away. 

"I'm sorry, I moved too quickly, we just met and I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable," Valkyrie rambled feeling guilty by her actions. "No, no, it's okay. I just- did you hear something?" Y/n turned her head to see if the sounds were coming from around them. "Uh... no I don't hear anything except for traffic."

"It sounds like someone's crying, but it sounds familiar to me," y/n scratched her head until she was suddenly pulled into a vision. Her vision was blurred from what she suspected were tears, but when she brought her hands up to wipe them they weren't her hands. They were Wanda's, and she was crying alone in her room with her knees pulled to her chest. How was y/n seeing this? Was she in Wanda's body? She could see through Wanda's eyes, it looked like it was real-time by the looks of the time on the alarm clock and the fact that she was in her bedroom in the compound. She brought up Wanda's hands and touched her face and looked into the mirror and began to freak out to see herself as Wanda. 

Y/n was suddenly brought back to reality as she woke up on the ground of the garden with Valkyrie holding her. "What the hell happened?" y/n rubbed her head as she slowly got up from Val's arms. "You tell me. Your eyes turned bright yellow and then you went unconscious, are you okay?" 

"Uh, I think I just passed out from dehydration or something. Let's go back." They quickly went back, not speaking to another on their short walk, but y/n thought about what just happened. She was able to go in and control someone's body, even from over a thousand miles away.
