Mia turned up at my door a few hours later with a handful of movies. I gave her a massive hug as she walked through the door.

"So, what happened?" She asked settling herself down on the couch.

"I don't know." I replied, sitting beside her.

"From the start."

"Me and Luke were having an amazing day. Then we got back and Calum and Ashton were here. It was like 11.30 and I kinda fell asleep. Ashton got annoyed and left in the morning."

"Okay, now what about the parts you left out?" My eyes widened.

"Why would you think I left something out?" I asked.

"I just do, come on Em." She laughed.

"Um we hugged."

"And.." She trailed on.

"And it was for a tad too long. It got a bit awkward."

"That's not too bad, what else did you miss."

"Um."

Mia looked at me, knowing something was wrong. She got up and walked into the kitchen. I loved that she knew me well enough to give me time instead of not leaving me alone.

"Want anything?" She yelled.

"I'm sweet." I yelled back. She walked in with a bowl of popcorn and flicked a movie on.

"What are we watching?" I asked as she flopped down next to me.

"The Avengers." We both laughed. We watched The Avengers nearly every time we watched a movie together.

The movie started and we got comfortable to watch it.

"Mia, Calum said two of his best friends are pretty much in love with me." I looked at her worryingly.

"Oh." Was all she said.

"What?"

"Well I thought it would have been something worse. I mean come on, if it wasn't Luke, it would've been Ashton." She said without moving her eyes from the tv screen. She then turned and faced me.

"Oh gosh, I'm sorry." She apologised after seeing the expression on my face. "I thought it was a mutual thing."

"I like Luke, Luke likes me." I said in a small voice.

"I know." She said softly. "But Em, Ashton likes you too."

"He said he's going to get different friends. That's pretty much saying he doesn't want to hang out with me, but he'll hang out with the rest of you."

"What did you say?"

"Not what I should have." I replied thinking of all the things I could have said. We turned our heads back to the movie and sat watching it. I couldn't even pay attention to the movie.

---------------------------------------------

"Emily, can I come over? I need to talk to you about something." Luke's voice spoke through the phone.

"Yeah sure." I said back. I was still in my pjs, as it was a public holiday. My dad hadn't let Mia stay last night because he thought we needed to have some father/daughter time. And we did.

It was lovely. We ordered pizza, played cards and talked. It was long overdue, but I was glad he suggested it. It got my mind off Ashton and Luke for the night and I woke up in a good mood.

I quickly ran to the nearest mirror an fixed up my hair. I wiped my eyes and pinched my cheeks. The door bell rang. I guess Luke was already on his way when he called me.

My dad opened the door and greeted Luke. "How are you son?"

"Great." Luke beamed. "You?"

"Quite good thanks." My dad smiled. Last night my dad had talked about how much he liked Luke. Apparently he was a gentleman.

"Hey." I grabbed his hand and lead him to my room.

"Hey gorgeous." I blushed.

We walked into my room and I shut the door behind us.

"So listen..." Luke started. My smile was wiped off my face.

"Oh no, no no no! Em it's nothing bad I promise." He exclaimed. "I would never." I blushed again.

"Sorry."

"No, don't be. That was a bad way to start it." He laughed. "Anyway I know that we've only been going out for a while. Like 2 months. But you're amazing."

"So are you." I blurted out.

"But I got you something." He pulled a small silver chain out of his pocket. He then awkwardly untangled it.

"Sorry, the box broke." He chuckled. I sat shocked. He finally untangled it and I saw the pendant dangling off the chain. It was a small dolphin. He leaned forward and pulled my hair up so he could do up the clasp.

"Luke." I whispered.

"It's nothing really, sorry."

"Why are you apologising? It's beautiful. You're beautiful. Oh wow." I said looking down at the dolphin again. I don't think I had ever received a present from one of my boyfriends before.

"Thank you so much."

"It's okay." Luke smiled. I leaned forward and pecked him softly on the cheek. His hand rested on my leg and I moved to his mouth. Slowly, our lips moved, enjoying every single moment that we were touching. His other arm wrapped around my waist and pulled me closer as I climbed on top of him. I pushed him down and ran my hands under his shirt. He shivered at my touch.

My hands trailed along his stomach and up to his chest as I pulled his shirt off. I leaned back down to kiss him. He moaned as my hands neared his belt and ran across his hip bones.

"Oh god." He said sitting up and slightly pushing me off him.

"What?" I asked confused.

"I won't be able to control myself soon." He bit his lip.

"Says you who just bit their lip." I wanted to kiss him again, but he stopped me.

"Seriously Em." He smirked. "I think we should wait.. If you even want to." I laughed aloud. Luke was so nervous and awkward and I just wanted to hug him.

"Okay." I passed him back his shirt. My dad knocked on the door.

"Em, you said you would study today.."

"Yeah, I know. I will in a minute." I looked at Luke. "Sorry."

"It's fine." He pulled me up as he stood and lightly brushed our lips together.

"See you."

"Tease." I winked and turned around to sit at my desk. He laughed and shut the door quietly behind him. I picked up my history book and started to flip through it, revising. My hand subconsciously went up to my neck and traced the shape of the dolphin. And for some reason, after everything that had just happened, I found myself thinking of Ashton.
