"Forget about them." Mia said angrily as we let ourselves into her house. We had been standing at the door for over 10 minutes, fixing our hair, make up and in my case, putting my skirt back on.

"Mia darling, did you have a good night?" Mia's mum asked.

"It was.." She glanced at me quickly. "Okay. It was okay."

"Good, off to bed now? Be quiet, your sisters asleep." She hugged us both and said goodnight.

"I love your family." I smiled at her. She grinned back at me. It was the first thing I had said since we left the house.

We made our way upstairs silently and went into Mia's bedroom.

"I'm sorry. You were with Josh weren't you?" I apologised.

"Yeah. It's fine. What happened to you?" She asked carefully. Probably not wanting me to cry again.

I told her everything. About the unknown boy, Ashton and Luke fighting. She looked like she had seen a ghost by the end of my story. We sat in silence for a few minutes until I spoke up again.

"I'm really angry." I whispered.

"You have the right to be!" She yelled, then remember her sister was asleep. "That guy needs to be dealt with. We can go to the police.." She trailed off.

"No. He didn't actually do anything. I'm fine, just a bit shocked." I shuddered thinking what might have happened if Ashton didn't find me.

"Then it's about Ashton and Luke." She stated.

"When I needed them, they bailed on me. I don't know who I'm more angry at. Luke for hitting Ash first or Ash or hitting Luke back." I was conflicted.

"Only you would worry more about boys after that happened to you." She joked. And funnily enough we both cracked up. We laughed hysterically for awhile before calming down.

"Shhh girls, Gemma's sleeping." Mia's mum poked her head around the door.

"Sorry." We grinned in unison. Her mum shut the door and we heard her walking back down the stairs.

"But seriously, you're crazy Emily." Mia whispered. "You had two of the nicest, best looking guys pretty much fighting over you. And you're here with me, not letting them apoligise."

I shook my head. "I need time to cool off."

"Goodnight darl."

"Goodnight Mia." I replied and she turned the light off so we were both left in darkness. About 10 minutes later I could hear Mia's light snores.

I rolled over hoping to fall asleep soon, but it didn't come. An hour later I found my phone to check what the time was. It was 3.24am and I had 15 new messages and 17 missed calls. I groaned, turned my phone off and finally went to sleep.

---------------------------------------------

"Hey, how was the rest of your weekend?" Mia asked me as I sat down on the seat next to her. The bus lurched forward and we both jolted forwards.

"I did nothing at all. It was great." I laughed.

"Good!" She said a bit too enthusiastically.

"Hang out with Josh?" I asked.

"Yeah, we're going to the movies after school today, you should come." She looked at my face. "You wouldn't be third-wheeling, he suggested it!"

"Okay, I might." I said. We chatted for a few more minutes before the bus arrived at school.

We walked together into school and I glanced into my math class. Awesome, the bell was late so everyone is already there.

"See you later?" I questioned Mia as she walked away.

"Of course!" She yelled. It echoed in the hallway.

I walked into class, apologising to my teacher then walked to sit down in my seat. I didn't have any friends in this class so I sat by myself on the corner.

"I didn't recognise you with your pants on!" Someone yelled from the back of the room. The whole class erupted in laughter.

"Everybody shut up." The teacher commanded.

This was going to be a long day.
