Chapter Seventeen

Weekend

I sighed as a dropped my body on my bed. Today was exhausting, physically and mentally. I've been assigned with the establishments under the Upper Clan kaya naman naging busy ako sa pagiikot-ikot.

Hindi naman bago sa akin ang ma-assign sa ibang duty. It's just it felt a bit lonely dahil hindi ko na masyado nakikita si Vini, hindi katulad kapag nasa foundation lang ako.

Plus this is more tiring. Mas gugustuhin ko pang magbasa ng mga report kesa magikot-ikot sa bawat store.

While laying on the bed, I removed the buttons of my top. Tinatamad na talaga ako tumayo at kumilos sa pagod. If I can only sleep without taking bath tonight, I would. But I feel dirty and that would result to me, being restless.

Kaya naman pinilit ko ang sarili ko tumayo at maligo. The moment I stepped out of the bathroom, I clothe myself. It's just a simple linen see-through robe-like night gown na may lining sa loob. It's in midnight blue kaya hindi masyado kita ang lining.

I was using the blower when I heard a knock from the door. I turned off the blower and went to the door to open it. I was surprised to see that it was Ate Hena, wearing her usual silk night gown.

"Someone's waiting for you outside. The attendants notified me," antok na sabi niya.

I blinked at her. "Are you sure it's for me? Hindi ka ba naliligaw?"

She rolled her eyes. "Stop sticking to Izaac, nahahawa ka na ng kabaliwan. It's Vince from the -" hindi ko na tinapos ang sinasabi ni Ate Hena at nagmadali na lang lumabas.

It took me a minute before finally reaching the gates. And there he was, leaning on his motorcycle with both of his hands inside his pockets. He was just wearing a simple shirt and pants.

He was under the lights kaya naman kitang kita ko ang itsura niya. He even cut his hair now! Hindi ko na napigilan ang sarili kong lumapit sa kaniya.

I missed him so bad! Halos hindi na kami nagkikita o nagkakausap man lang dahil pag-uwi ko ay lagi akong tulog na. I was that exhausted.

And to see him right now? Goodness. I didn't even bother to stop myself from jumping onto him. He laughed when he caught me in his arms.

"You missed me that much?" He whispered.

I nodded. I can't even speak because of too much happiness!

We remained like that while he was softly caressing my hair and back. I rested my head on his shoulder as I hug him.

Nang nasulit ko na ang yakap, ako na mismo ang bumitaw sa kaniya. He has that teasing smile again but he didn't point it out like what he always does back then.

"You cut your hair short!" I exclaimed. It was now a clean cut look, very different from his messy hairstyle.

"I look handsome, yes?"

"Yabang," I retorted and stared at his face. When he noticed that, he placed his head in the shallow space of my neck, burying his head.

"I'm shy," parang tangang sabi niya kaya natawa ako. Then I felt him sigh before placing a kiss on his favorite part of my neck. And he returned to his position.

"You are so hard to reach now, you know," he said, almost pouting.

I smirked and teased him. "You missed me? Is that why you are here? Hmm?"

"Tsss."

Hindi ko napigilan ang tawa ko kaya lalo siyang umirap sa akin. I looked up and saw that it was full moon.
