The school day went by like a breeze and I feel more and more anxious by the second. The meeting was nearing faster than I expected it would, which made everything feel heavier and surreal. I don't know how to calm my jittering hands and a million things have been flying through my mind for the whole day already.

We all sit on the bleachers of the lacrosse field, watching the last minutes of the long practice. Tyler's mind is shut off from all the worries of the meeting as he focuses on the ball and goal.

It's strange to see all of us on the bleachers and I hear some whispers coming from high above us, on the higher seats. I lean my head against Sam's shoulder, having a feeling that it's too heavy to carry it on my shoulders. She rests her own on mine, her black locks curling with my own dirty blond ones. Thomas is sitting one row below us, his feet propped on the railing of the fence. Next to him is Alec, who focuses on his physics homework instead of worrying about the meeting.

But to everybody else we look like a bunch of misfortunes, sitting like a pile of potatoes.

Samantha sighs, lifting her head from mine. She can't stay still for longer than two minutes. She plays with her sleeves and watches around herself. She's waiting to see any other pack member of our or the opposite pack. But nobody else shows. Just some human students that give us strange look because of our sorrowful state.

The coach finally blows the whistle, announcing the end of the practice. At the same time Alec closes his physics book and looks up to the field. The players run back into the school, heading in the locker room, some of them most likely showering, while others just get changed.

"What's the time?" Alec questions us, making Thomas sigh through his nose and look down at his wrist watch. "Close to seven." He mumbles and stretches his arms over his head, annoyed by the fact the bleachers are so uncomfortable. His spine cracks when he stretches and it makes me raise my head from Sam's shoulder. "Only half an hour left." She says in the same tone as Thomas. Alec glances over to us, a worried expression screwed on his face.

I glance down to my own phone, checking to see if I have any new messages. I was actually hoping to have one from Elliot, but then I remember I never asked for his number and neither did he for mine. I stuff my phone back into the pocket of my leather jacket, sighing through my nose.

The students that were on the bleachers now pass us, walking away from the field. But we stay put, like we are glued to our spots.

"Has anybody else realized the other pack wasn't even in school today?" Alec suddenly asks, making me look down to him. I furrow my eyebrows, trying to figure out if I actually saw any of them or not today. But their table was empty at lunchtime. "Dully noted." Thomas answers back, resting his hands on the back of his head, his fingers laced together. "They're probably preparing to tear our throats open or something."

I send a glare to the back of his head, hoping I burn two holes in it. He senses me glaring at him, so my older brother turns around to look at me. He shrugs his shoulders a little, as if he would try to tell me 'it was just a guess', before he turns away from me.

I notice a figure walking across the field towards us, the other twin finally joining us on the bleachers. He plants a quick kiss on Sam's lips before he sits down next to her.

"Now we wait?" Tyler asks, wrapping an arm around his mate's shoulders. His hair is dripping from the shower, but it doesn't seem to bother him. "Now we wait." I answer him, making his deep green eyes turn to look at me over Sam. We didn't tell anybody about our little adventure in the morning and we both tend to keep it that way. I guess you can call it our little secret.

We just sit there in silence, watching the day shift into night, the once blue sky being painted with shades of orange, red and purple. The light shifts into an orange like ray and the day starts to become colder. I bring my leather jacket closer to myself, my eyes constantly drifting to the woods that is behind us.
