A wolf emerges from the darkened forest, it's speed nothing I've ever seen before. The werewolf's body collides into Douglas, both of the wolves crashing to the ground, the leaves and sticks crunching and snapping under their weight. They both roll over and get on their paws in a matter of seconds, ready to fight each other. The white wolf is much larger than the one that came from the woods. It's a dark brown wolf with a light brown snout and belly.

My eyes widen at the realization that the wolf that just saved me is Ryker. The woods suddenly spin around me, as everyone seemingly springs into action. My father jumps forward, shifting into his dark brown wolf and attacking the other Beta of the Midnight pack. Elliot presses his body against me, the open wounds that his mother left on him dripping with crimson blood. His eyes shine in a golden yellow color as he growls loudly at her.

Rebecca finally moves, her body transforming with every step she takes. Her feet turn into paws and her figure becomes much larger, her features becoming more wolf like. A dark brown wolf with light brown paws emerges from where she previously stood and she heads straight for me and Elliot, coming to her mother's aid.

Elliot grips his mother's wrists, stopping her from attacking him further on. The blood drips down his arm, painting his shirt in a deep crimson color. I react almost instantly as I see Rebecca jump at me. I dodge the attack, scrambling backwards and away from Elliot and his mother. I trip over my own two feet and fall backwards onto the ground, Rebecca's wolf landing directly on the spot I was before. Her yellow eyes glare at me with such hatred and I feel my chest tighten as, she shows her sharpened fangs.

"Kenzie!" Elliot calls from his position of fighting his mother, his head turning to look over his shoulder to see where I am, but it gives his mother the advantage of taking control of the situation. She snaps her leg under his, making him fall backwards.

The claws on my fingers grow out and I feel how my veins start to bulge out of my skin. I grit my teeth in fear of dying in this fight since I haven't had my first shift yet, while everyone around me is in wolf form. Rebecca's wolf charges at me again, while the Luna overtakes the situation with Elliot, her toxic green eyes looking at my fragile figure like I'd be her prey.

Rebecca jumps on me, making me lift my arms up to protect myself from her snapping jaw. My right hand grips her lower jaw, while my left grips her upper jaw, trying to keep her mouth from moving and snapping at me. She scrunches her nose and a gurgling sound comes from her throat. She lifts one of her large paws up and snaps it down on the ground, making me move my head to the side in order to avoid my skull being smashed to pieces.

Her fangs on her upper jaw sink into my hand, making me grit my teeth tightly together. The skin on my hand breaks and droplets of crimson blood start to pour down my arm. My arms shake against her strong jaw and I feel my strength give out on me.

All around me were sounds of werewolves growling at each other, fighting, whimpering because of their wounds and howling.

I bare my teeth tightly together, my dark veins pulsing under the skin of my arms, as Rebecca's fangs inch closer and closer to my body. I take in a deep breath, my muscles burning in my arms and roar loudly, the noise bouncing all across the dark forest.

Some of the werewolves glance over to my trapped figure under the dark brown wolf, before reinforcements come rushing from the forest. Numerous werewolves collide with the Midnight pack, bringing advantage to our side. I can see Loki shift into a black wolf with shaggy spots of dark brown in between. His wolf snaps its jaw around Frederick's black wolf and they fall onto the ground.

I lift my leg up, snapping it against Rebecca's figure, my knee colliding with her gut. It makes her jaw shudder, as she tries to close her mouth from the pain, but I don't let her. I let out a low growl and snap my knee up, repeatedly hitting her into her stomach, until she has to jump off of me and away.
