"Well first I have to start with an apology on my behalf. My stupidly impulsive daughter makes plans of her own accord and sometimes doesn't run them past me, that's why the incident in the parking lot happened. I don't condemn to violence in front of the eyes of beings that are on the lower status chain than us." Frederick bows his head down to show us his apology and I almost growl at him for calling humans that. Father only nods at the apology, glancing over to me to see my expression. I notice how he opens his palm a little to show me to calm down and stay still. I look away from him, glancing over to the other side of the well, at the other pack.

My throat tightens at the sight of the two brutes that were there on the night Elliot dropped me off at the school. The same two werewolves that beat him up in order to get answers out of him. They both stare at me, remembering me being there at the school.

"I think you owe me an apology yourself." Frederick says and my father clears his throat. "I apologize for crossing your border-" "Not that apology." Frederick cuts my father off, making the Alpha furrow his eyebrows in question. I feel my throat tighten at the look I receive from the other Alpha, before he looks back at my father.

"I want you to apologize for your daughter's meddling in my pack stuff and for calling the cops on my Betas." Frederick explains and I feel all eyes suddenly turn to me. Thomas's eyes are wide open at the news and Tyler looks like he's contemplating if he should laugh or glare at me. My father's eyes open wide as he turns towards me. The look he gives me makes guilt wash over me and I step forward. I stand a few steps before my father and then kneel down on one knee. This is to keep peace, I tell myself.

"My father wasn't informed of that incident, so please let me apologize instead of him." I say, looking down at the dirt under my shoes. "I sincerely apologize for all of the trouble I have caused." I say, my hair falling over my face like a curtain of protection. When I look through my locks at Frederick I notice some kind of glint in his eyes. A glint of something bad.

I stand up and head back to Knox, still looking down at the ground. He bumps his elbow in my arm, making me look up to him. My so called uncle wears a small smile on his face and his eyes tell me that he's proud of me for causing trouble to the other pack. I look away from him, hiding my smile by quietly clearing my throat.

"I had no idea." Father finally speaks up, turning to look at the other Alpha. Elliot's father waves his hand as if it to say my apology was enough. I finally look over to my mate, seeing him standing on his father's left side. His eyes are practically glued to the well in between of the two packs. I wish that he's thinking about pushing his father inside of it, but I couldn't actually know.

"Now. My territory." Frederick finally says and I notice how my father tenses at those words. "Eleven years of running around and leaving your scents through my whole territory is a long time." He continues, hiding both of his hands behind his back. I watch him intently, watching every muscle movement like it would be the death of me if I wouldn't. Maybe it would be.

"I know it's a very long time, but you and your pack disappeared so suddenly. And I never knew you'd come back. Fourteen years is an even longer time to just disappear." Father is being very diplomatic and calm about the whole situation, while the other Alpha starts reeking of anger. "You should have respected the border." He growls out and I see the Luna grip onto his forearm, as if to say 'calm down'. Or 'let me take over'.

Camila steps forward and presses her lips together. Her long nails, painted in a deep red color, tap against the stones of the well.

"Every pack has a territory and a border no other pack must cross unless they get permission to. Isn't that right, David?" Her green eyes look to him, but my father doesn't answer her. He knows the rules by heart. "And you broke that. You crossed our border and left your scent on it, claiming it as if it would be yours." When I stare at her I notice something in her green eyes. She seems to feel my eyes on her so she turns to look at me. Those are the eyes of a wolf that uses Omoide, I think, staring directly into her green orbs.
