The ride home is so silent it almost eats at my being. No one speaks up. We all stay silent, watching as the streets pass by. Tyler is the one who's driving today, excused from his practice because of family matters. Thomas is in the passenger seat, looking out of the window at the passing houses. Behind Tyler sits Alec, he has been avoiding me for the whole day. If he wasn't avoiding me, he was ignoring me. I was starting to get worried for my friend. In the middle sits Samantha, she is scrolling through social media on her phone, but she doesn't seem really interested at the content.

And then there's me. I'm sitting behind Thomas, my head leaning against the glass window. I watch the houses and replay the conversation I had with Nat and Paul after the fight had occurred.

"I need to speak to you two." I announce, making my best friend look up from her phone. A look of concern crosses her face, while Paul only furrows his eyebrows. "'Bout?" He questions, making me press my lips together. If Alec would actually stop avoiding me, he could've helped me talk to them. But the guy is being a huge dick.

"About this weekend..." I mumble out, which makes Natalie tilt her head to the side. "We're having the sleepover on Saturday. You wanted to talk about that, right?" Her voice is filled with confusion, like she's predicting that the sleepover is not what I wanted to talk about. Actually, I completely forgot about the sleepover. I know I was the one who stuck up for the idea, but I completely forgot about it since there's so much happening right now.

"If you're worried about Elliot, he can join the sleepover as well." Natalie quickly adds, assuming I want to talk about my mate. I shake my head, trying to gather all the courage I need to talk to them about this. "No, no. It's not about the sleepover. I don't even know if I'll be able to make it this weekend." I answer, which makes Natalie furrow her eyebrows. Before she could start a fit and get angry at me, Paul is the one to jump in and save my ass.

"We'll move it to another weekend. The next one." He grips Nat's forearm to stop her from yelling her lungs out at me. She considers it, before nodding a little, an upset expression on face.

"What do you want to talk to us about?" Paul asks me, his brown eyes focusing on me. I bite my bottom lip, frustrated that I can't get this over with without actually telling him what's going on.

"My father told me that there is another company that is going to collaborate with us and they're testing some new experiment this weekend. They're scared that they're going to let toxins into the air, so my father is going to talk to the sheriff and mayor of Beacon Hills to let everyone know to stay inside for the weekend. I wanted to tell you guys in person, because I want you to be safe." I lie, a pang of pain in my chest for doing this to them. Natalie's upset expression disappears and she gets another confused expression on her face. Paul only nods, but he's not really buying the story I just threw at them.

"All I'm saying is, under no circumstances do you guys go outside."

I don't even notice when we arrive to our home. But I notice only when Alec bolts out of the car and heads straight to his house, just like he did yesterday. I notice how there are a few more cars parked around the pack house than usual.

"Looks like our army came after all." Tyler mumbles when he gets out of the black sedan. I open the car door and step out as well, the wind blowing my hair back. I press my lips together, the different scents of werewolves I don't even know mixing in the air. I have heard about my father's best friend being the Alpha of the Blood moon pack and supposedly I have met him when I was younger, but I can't remember who this man is supposed to be.

"You think we should go into the pack house?" Thomas asks, looking over to the rest of us that are still by the car. My blond hair dances in the wind that is blowing and I glance over to my older brother. "We're a part of this war. We should be there when they make the plans." I answer, walking around the car and to the pack house. There are so many cars out here that I wonder how we'll fit another pack into our suburban home. I guess they'll be sleeping in the pack house and the underground dens that are connected with many tunnels for our whole pack.
