Gojo took you home before the sun went down. You hate to admit but... being with him made you feel something inside your chest. He wasn't that type of guy who would make you feel uncomfortable by his flirty remarks. You were used to him at this point, that you'd shake him off and he'd laugh at you.

What did he meant by finding out? That thought lingered in your head until you got home. You don't even know if you really are friends with him now. It's unusual for someone to bug you until you give in. He was different, too.

Gojo has his own ways of pursuing someone, huh? I wonder if he also does that to someone he wants to be with...

Your mother bombarded you with questions when she saw who you were with. "And... are you dating him?" she asks and followed you, after you explained. Shaking your head, you removed your shoes and walked upstairs. "Y/N!" she exclaimed when you dodged her questions.

"No, mom. We're... friends." and that answered your own question.

Of course, your day at school wouldn't be complete without Nobara bugging you with the details of your 'date', as she said. You were walking with Yuji and Nobara beside you along with Megumi trailing behind.

"So, did he do something?" she probed. You just can't help but chuckle at her. She looped her arms to yours, grabbing your arm to get your attention. "What was he like?" her eyes looked like it was sparkling.

As you walked inside the cafeteria, you were quick to spot his usual table. Some of his friends were sitting at the table, while some ate and laughed. There, you saw him, laughing with his friends, with his long legs dangling at the side of the table, almost occupying the half of their table. His large frame is not that hard to  notice, seeing how his hair stood out in the room.

You removed your gaze from him and proceeded to your table. Megumi offered he'll buy you lunch so you won't fall in line but you refused. He was too nice and a gentleman but you were okay with falling in line with them. When you stood up, your eyes went to their table again and saw him standing, facing the other direction.

It was then you saw a tall girl with brown medium length hair. You don't know if she was a new student or you just don't see her often, but you're sure that she's gorgeous.

Gojo was talking to her with his hand on his waist, a smile on his face. The girl crossed her arms over her chest while looking up at him. It seems like he said something that ticked her so she rolled her eyes at him and walked pass him. He followed her, still talking, like he was convincing her somehow.

The scene seemed familiar. It was like how he was to... you.

You shake off your thoughts and glanced away from them. Yuji saw you and patted your shoulder, "Hey, you okay?" you heard the worry in his tone. You were quick to plaster a small smile on your face. "Yeah, I'm fine." he nodded at you, not saying anything about it again.

After lunch, you all parted to go to your own classes. You waved each other good bye, agreeing to meet after class. While walking, you heard big footsteps nearing behind you, but you didn't look nor stopped walking. You felt a presence beside you, and even if you knew who it was, you still continued walking, not slowing down your pace.

"Y/N, hey!" his cheerful voice rang your ears. You pressed your lips in a thin line and gripped your bag in your hand. You slowed down your pace, and that was his opportunity to block your way, extending his arms out childishly. You stopped in your tracks and released a sigh.

He smiled down at you, putting his arms down to his sides, eyeing you behind his rounded eyeglasses. You arched an eyebrow at him, "Yes?" he furrowed his eyebrows at you, stepping forward. "Is something wrong?" his smiled faded away.

You shake your head violently, "No, everything's fine. Why are you here?" you were afraid you were actually easy to read for him this time.

He was surveying your face but you didn't show any emotion. He squinted his eyes at you and slightly smiled. "Just came by to say hi." he stated in a low voice. You took a breath subtly, not really expecting his answer. His eyes observed every move your eye made. "Well, hi. But I'm late to class, so..." you trailed off, awkwardly turning around and slowly walking away.

You didn't hear his footsteps, and you knew he was just standing there. As of the moment, you didn't care and strode towards your next class, ignoring the dangerous feeling in your chest.

You never saw him nor did you try to look in his direction the next few days. It was weird but you just didn't want to talk to him these past few days, nor did he try either. The last text you received from him was from last week, when he took you to that diner. You realized maybe he was done messing with you now. And you should be happy with that. That's what you wanted from the start, right?

The class you're in right now is where the four of you are in together. You tried to listen, and you were glad you were able to force yourself to learn because thinking about a particular person isn't going to get you anywhere.

Your friends didn't ask you about Gojo, because why would they? You were the one who told them he was just a friend... so why would they be worried?

"Listen, class, I have an announcement to make." your professor declared, and everyone went quiet, no one dared to make a sound. He cleared his throat, "As you all know, Valentine’s is coming next week. I proposed a project for all the classes I handle." you can feel everyone's excitement due to the sudden change of temperature in the room.

"And of course, as your English professor, I would like all of you to participate in this so called event. You must have a partner in this class, and is required to participate in activities that will surely make the event lively." he grinned.

"So, do you want a casual or formal event? I'm open for suggestions, folks."

Everyone started to talk to each other in their low voices. You glanced at your friends who were engaging in a conversation with their seatmates. It seems like you were the only one who felt neutral about the event. You felt a poke on your back and turned around to see Megumi. He looked hesitant but you still waited for him to speak.

"Do you... um, want to be my partner, Y/N?" he looked so shy and can't look at you straight in the eye.

You bit your lower lip and gave him a small smile. "Sure. I'd like to be your partner." he nodded and sighed in relief. You were glad he asked you, because you didn't know who to pick when it's obvious that Yuji and Nobara would be partners.

It has been decided that the event will be formal. A ball will be held by Mr. Smith and you didn't know whether you'd be happy to hear that or not. Your highschool prom wasn't really pleasing to remember, and you hoped this ball would make you forget the dreading memory of your previous prom.

"Oi, Y/N! Sorry, Yuji forced me to go with him. This pussy..." Nobara grunted, hurrying to your side. You chuckled, "It's fine, I'll go with Megumi." she clapped her hands in excitement. "Oh, yay! We'll pick our dresses and we're all going to go shopping!" the boys groaned, knowing so well they have to keep up with Nobara being a shopaholic. You just smiled at that.
