Suguru patted his back as a goodbye, seeing how drunk his friend was, is not a surprise to him. He was the only sober (yet dizzy) one who left the house early, because he didn't feel like partying tonight. Suguru dragged him here, like always. Sure, he took one can of beer but that was it. He has low tolerance in alcohol so he always take it slow when it comes to drinking.
He made his way to his car, then patted his flushed cheeks. Why the hell is he feeling sleepy? Fucking beer. He cursed in his mind then got in before slamming the door shut. It took him a few moments before he started to drive. Slowly and carefully.
He glanced at his phone then back to the road ahead of him. He didn't know what to say. He acted like a child for storming away from the room she was in. He's not an expert when it comes to handling his feelings, but that wasn't an excuse to be an asshole either. He hasn't messaged her since this morning, and he let it be. Maybe she'll get tired of him, and that's okay. That's more than okay, if he's being honest. It's for the best.
He just didn't want his feelings to go deeper.
Cliché as hell, but he didn't expect things were going to change between them, in a good but dangerous way. He had relationships before, but none of them were serious or even got to the point like it was with Y/N. Even with Brit, who assumed he intended to be serious with her, and is by far the longest 'relationship' he had. He just didn't like how she made him a side hoe. That hurted his big ass ego. He didn't even love her, for fuck's sake.
It was dangerous. The empty hole he has that he didn't plan to be filled was happening now because of Y/N. She was filling every empty space inside him and he didn't want that to be full where she'll regret she even gave her time.
A single text wasn't what he wanted. He wanted space. He wanted to ignore her, so then she'll stop. He just can't keep this 'thing' between them happening. He needed to stop this before it's too late. It's fucking him up so bad.
She needs to realize that, too.
He sighed loudly. He thought about the events earlier, making him grip the wheel tighter, his knuckles turning white. His gut was filled of regrets. Letting the red-haired girl, who he forgot the name, kiss him hard and he felt nothing. Not even lust. He let her claim his mouth maybe, so he would feel something. But he didn't. He was too damn distracted and contemplating whether he'll go for it or not. Surprisingly, he didn't. He didn't get laid tonight, which was rare.
Even Suguru was shocked. His long-haired friend did not even hide the surprise evident on his face when he wrapped his arm around his shoulder. He smelled like alcohol and smoke. RIP to his lungs and liver. He teased, "She really got you whipped, huh, 'Toru?" then he laughed like the crazy idiot he is.
That was what the raven-haired man said back at Yuji's party, too. He didn't deny it, and he didn't confirm it either. After that incident, he stayed away from everyone and just watched some friends play billiards. Suguru was nowhere to be found. He noticed how he's been with different girls almost every night and thought about Nobara. Have things ended between them? Either way, he's in no place to be nosy, so he kept his mouth shut.
He didn't join them since he wasn't in the mood to play, and just drank the damn beer. He didn't finish it, of course.
With all the thoughts racing inside his mind, he was eager to go home and sleep it all away. Everything was overwhelming him. The new found feelings, his complicated situation with Y/N, and the things he's done that he regrets now. Thinking about all of it made his head hurt so he calmed himself. He was expecting to be home in a few minutes so he can rest and get rid of all of these temporarily. The beer tasted bad but he still drank a small amount of it anyway. All because of her.
