You tried so hard to muster a smile whenever someone comes in the store

You tried so hard to muster a smile whenever someone comes in the store. Though it's not that often, you can't dodge the thoughts forming your mind. Why was he so upset? It was just a party, he couldn't possibly be that shallow to get upset about me not going with him, right?

Ever since this morning, you've been checking your phone, and to no luck, you see no message from him. That made you space out most of the time while working, and Mrs. Williams was kind enough to notice and ask you if you have a problem, to which you shake your head at. The white haired man was so hard to figure out, and you can't help but sigh through your nose throughout your shift.

It's not the first time he's done this. He never talked to you in a serious manner when misunderstandings like this happens. You then wonder if he has issues with sorting things out with someone. The whole campus knows that he was romantically involved with Brittany before, (to which Shoko denied) and the whole 'making him her side hoe' probably changed him and hurt his ego.

But what do you know? You've only known him for months. Satoru has never been transparent to you. However, you, being the patient one, understood that maybe he's just bad at feelings. You'd always try to understand him, whatever it take. It takes time to open up to someone, you knew that.

Nobara texted you if she can eat lunch with you on your break. You agreed of course, since you missed going out with her, besides, you needed to take your mind off of a particular man that has been bothering your mind the whole day. Lunch eventually came, so you told Mrs. Williams you will be out for lunch, and went to the nearest fast food you and Nobara agreed to eat at.

You saw your brown-haired friend sitting on a booth and waved at you when she met your gaze. A small smile appeared your lips, sitting across from her. She pouted at the book store you're working at across the street, "How is it working there?"

You replied with a shrug. "Just fine, I guess. Mrs. Williams is a nice old lady."

Nobara insisted to order for the both of you, and you just let her. You don't know if she noticed something was wrong or something's been bugging you, but she didn't comment about it. You don't know if you'll tell her, but thinking maybe you should. You've been keeping some things from her and you felt guilty since she basically tells you everything about what's happening in her life.

Might be because you didn't want someone telling you that Gojo is not someone you can convince to change for the better.

"So... when are you leaving?" you remembered her saying she will be staying at her aunt's to help her with her plant shop. She hummed, placing her cup on the table. "I'll be leaving next week. She keeps texting me about it, and I told her to wait for me because I have to ask my mom for money, y'know."

You raised an eyebrow, and she finished her food before continuing. "For Tsumiki. I wanted to help Megumi, too. Don't tell him though." she warned, sipping on her drink.
