hey ! sorry if it took me a while to update. i was focused on plotting my nanami fic. thankfully, i came to my senses and wrote this chapter ...

if you haven't checked out my nanami fic, here's ur sign :D

You informed your mom about the incident and she understood why you'd spend the whole day at the hospital. She told you to take care, and tell her if anything happens. With a sigh, you ended the call and looked up the ceiling. Gojo left a few hours ago, saying something about Geto—his friend, to which you absentmindedly nodded at. You watched him jog off, gripping his phone in his hand. Nobara and Yuji went home too not long afterwards, and said they'll be back tomorrow. Meanwhile you stayed behind, accompanying your bestfriend who never left his sister's side.

It was uncomfortable sleeping on a chair, but you managed to do so. You didn't know you drifted off when a hand shook your shoulder gently to wake you from your nap. You brought your hand to your eyes to rub it, and see Megumi leaning close to you, a worried look plastered on his face. "Hey." he softly said.

You fixed yourself, and gave him a weary smile. "What's up?" you yawned a bit.

He tilted his head. "It's 1 am. Aren't you going home?"

You shake your head and stretched your arms, wincing at the pain striking your arm. "I already told my mom I'll stay here." He frowned, obviously not agreeing with your decision. Before he could say anything, you stand up and walked pass him, avoiding any argument with him. You felt hungry, so you looked back at him, and saw him hesitate but eventually walked towards you, like he knew what you wanted.

The both of you didn't exchange words until you were out of the hospital.

Peaceful. I wish it was always this easy.

The walk to the nearest fast food was short and quiet. Megumi didn't speak nor did you, and you didn't want to make it awkward for the both of you. You pulled out your phone, and saw no messages from Gojo which made you sigh. What were you expecting, an update? Clown.

Thoughts were erased when you neared the fast food and pushed the doors open to get inside. Megumi insisted that he'll order for you so you didn't fight him and instead, searched for available seats. It wasn't that hard since it's 1 in the morning, there was only the two of you, some man in a black jacket, a woman with her hair tied in a neat bun, and two guys talking that were sitting at the corner. After a few minutes of checking your social medias, you felt Megumi's presence sitting in front of you.

You watched a mutual's story and recognized her as one of Gojo's classmates. There were videos of them doing shots, and saw some of Gojo's friends there. You clicked on the next story and you spotted him talking to his guy friend on a sofa, a can of soda in his hand.  Your bite your lower lip, watching them laughing with lights everywhere. The last one, which was twenty minutes ago, was him holding an unknown girl who looked drunk. It looked like he was trying to put her inside a car, and you instantly knew it wasn't his. They were all laughing, so you didn't think of anything wrong with what he was doing.

He was obviously helping the girl. Nothing else.

And for the nth time, who am I to even stick my nose into his business? Or in everything he does? I sound so possessive that I don't even know if this is who I really am, or if he's the reason why I changed.

You placed your phone on the table and almost jumped at Megumi watching your reaction. His look on you made you look away, not wanting him to read you openly like a book again. You know he was just playing the role of a worried friend, but you just can't make things more awkward between the two of you than it already were.
