The next week started with you spending most of your time at the gym, along with your friends, decorating for the upcoming event. The sponsored event is called "Cupid's ball" which is so common and made you wonder who thought about the name. You also participated in making the invitations and such.

You cut the shape of a heart on the crepe paper, sitting on the stage with your legs crossed. Nobara was with you with her legs dangling in front of her and some girls in your class, while Yuji and Megumi were helping the guys inflate the balloons at the side. It's like highschool all over again.

"Y/N," Nobara called. You looked at her and raised an eyebrow. "Yeah?"

She was silent for a moment, as if she's hesitating. You waited until she spoke, "How are things with Gojo?"

You were surprised to hear that from her. It has been days since the both of you last talked, and you think it's better that way. "Things are fine, why?" you asked casually.

"You haven't talked to him?"

She gave you a look when you shrugged your shoulders. "Nope. And it's fine, Nob."

Opening her mouth and closing it, you think she finally let go of the topic, thankfully. You're completely fine with how things are, to be honest. You're not bothered anymore... no more white haired man bugging you at school.

The sound of multiple padding of feet echoed the gym. Heads snapped towards the sound and you saw the higher years walking inside, along with your English professor. "Alright! Is everyone done with the decorations?" he clasped his hands together and eyed all the students busy with the decorations.

You stopped moving when you saw the familiar purple-ish white hair standing out the room. Of course, he has to be here. You can feel Nobara's stare burning a hole at the side of your head. She eventually stopped when you showed how unaffected you are. If only she knew.

"I see. Please do finish decorating, because we will be practicing our cotillion for our event. All the classes I handle will be the only ones to participate in this dance."

There were murmurs of excitement, disappointment and just pure joy. Oh, what joy this has to be to dance on this event. You weren't really looking forward to this dance because you have a feeling on what's about to happen.

You all stopped decorating, putting down the materials on the stage. You jumped off, and fixed your skirt that went up. Mr. Smith looked more excited than all of you as he ushered you guys to gather around at the center. He stood in front of everyone, with a smile on his face.

"Go to your partners, everyone!" he exclaimed and clapped his hands. He was wearing his usual bow that he wear everyday. You wonder if he even washes that bow of his, but you also think that maybe (obviously) it's his favorite bow, or the only one he has. Either way, he shows everyone that that bow has a sentimental value on him.

Megumi walked towards you and you smiled at him. He returned it but quickly glanced away from you to look in front. Everyone was with their partners now, standing beside each other. A blonde senior year student suddenly appeared and walked to the stage. You remembered she was the captain of the cheering squad, and one of the people who convinced you to join them. She was famous yet she didn't act all mighty on everyone, unlike others.

"Momo here will be the one to teach you. As you all know, she's a choreographer of contemporary dances and even competed besides the cheering squad." he informed everyone who was listening intently. Momo grinned at that, "Thank you, Mr. Smith. Can everyone please fall in line with their partners beside them?"

She arranged the positions of everyone, dividing it into two groups. When she reached you and Megumi, she widened her eyes and flashed you a smile. "Oh, hi Y/N!" she beamed. You smiled softly at her, "I didn't know you attend Mr. Smith's class. I'm so glad someone can actually help me here." your eyes slightly widened at that, but you didn't protest because you didn't want to wipe the smile off her cute face.

"I-I yeah..." that's the only thing you managed to say before she walked away with a grin on her face. Megumi gazed down at you, "Why didn't you join the cheering squad?" he asked. He already knows the reason as far as you know, but you think he's asking to clarify it again. "I just don't think I'm fit for it." cheering squad was the closest thing to what you do. Colleges don't have dance teams nor organizations that includes dancing. Besides, if there were one, you wouldn't join either way. Having low self esteem affects on everything you do.

He nodded, not saying anything furthermore. You both looked at the stage and saw Momo infront again. She started instructing everyone what to do and the steps you have to follow. Megumi held your hand with his hand on your waist. His hand gripped yours as you swayed, but then, his foot stepped on yours, making you wince at the contact. He looked worried and released your hand, giving you an apologetic look.

"I'm sorry—"

"It's fine, Meg. Don't worry." you assured him and grabbed his hand. He blinked at you, then nodded. "Sorry." he whispers, glancing away from you with guilt on his face. You squeezed his hand to reassure him, because it didn't really hurt that bad.

An hour passed by and you can see how upset with Megumi sometimes when he get the step wrong. He wasn't a fan of dancing so you understood that and guided him. He would look shy when you do that but you just convinced him that it was alright. You saw Yuji and Nobara not that far from you, bantering quietly at each other, and you laughed at that. They always fight so it was expected to see them like that.

When you were given a break, you leaned back on the stage with Megumi beside you. Yuji and Nobara joined you, sitting on the stage, arguing quietly whose fault it was to get the choreography wrong. The typical banter made you chuckle at them and Megumi just shook his head at them.

You glanced around the room, seeing the students talking echoed the room, but froze when you met with the familiar set of crystal blue eyes. You can tell his eyes were expressive from afar but you don't quite read what it says. He was standing beside the brown-haired girl, with his right elbow resting on the large speaker beside him, resting his weight on one leg. His usual stance was so hard not to notice.

His presence was noticeable even when there were many students inside the gym. You saw how serious he was, which does not happen often. You were afraid that the expression on your face was readable, and the intensity of his stare made you break eye contact. You ignored him, not because you didn't want to stare back at him, but because of how doomed you were when you felt nervous around him for the first time.
