Kim Sunwoo

Sunwoo tapped his fingers impatiently on the surface of the old table in the library. Younghoon was nearly twenty minutes late, and he blocked Sunwoo so he couldn't just call and ask were he was.

Just as he was about to leave, the tall teenager tossed his bag into the empty chair at the table where Sunwoo was sitting.

"You're late." Sunwoo spat.

"You're annoying." Younghoon snickered.

"Just sit down, I've already talked to you more than I'd like to." Sunwoo rolled his eyes, pulling out his English literature textbook and notes.

"Feisty." Younghoon remarked.

Younghoon sat down next to Sunwoo, taking the red head by surprise.

"What are you doing?"

"I didn't bring my books."

Sunwoo raised an eyebrow.

"To school?"

Younghoon nodded with a smug face. It made Sunwoo more uncomfortable than he usually was around Younghoon, but he brushed it off. It was probably just in his head.

Sunwoo sighed, sliding the textbook over for Younghoon to see better.

Sunwoo really didn't like it when Younghoon leaned over the textbook, more so not liking the lack of space between them.

"What are you staring at? Tutor me." Younghoon clicked his tongue.

Tutoring Younghoon went over smoothly, it was like he was barely listening half the time but he answered all of Sunwoo's questions correctly.

Sunwoo expected Younghoon to fall asleep halfway through, but surprisingly he did pretty well.

"You know this stuff, why do you always act like you don't?" Sunwoo asked.

Younghoon shrugged, seemingly uninterested.

"Come on, being a dick can't be your only personality trait." Sunwoo glared.

When Younghoon didn't respond Sunwoo dropped the topic.

"Fine, keep being the mysterious asshole everyone knows. I didn't really care anyway." Sunwoo hummed, packing up his books. "We're done here, same time tomorrow."

Sunwoo left the library and started his route home, they'd stayed about two hours after school, counting the twenty minutes between the last bell and Younghoon actually showing up.

So it wasn't as bad as Sunwoo originally thought it would be. Younghoon was an ass, yeah, but when it came to actually studying he actually paid attention and was serious.

During the whole thing he only called Sunwoo annoying and a bitchboy once. That was nearly a record.

As he walked past Chanhee's house he saw Chanhee running down the driveway to catch up with him.

"Hey! How was tutoring? How many times did you bang your head against the desk?" Chanhee laughed, fully aware of Sunwoo's feelings towards Younghoon.

"Surprisingly well, actually. He had trouble understanding the concept of symbolism but he got it eventually." Sunwoo shrugged.

"Oh! Speaking of trouble, Lee Jaehyun is hosting a party on Friday to celebrate the first round of championships. Will you go with me?" Chanhee asked.

"I don't know, Chanhee." Sunwoo sighed. He hated parties, especially any thrown by the football team. It was like a get-out-of-pregnancy free card. "You know parties really aren't my thing. Why don't you go with Younghoon?"

"He's a co-host, he's not allowed a date. Please? I promise it'll be fun!" Chanhee begged.

"Chanhee I have a chemistry test next Monday. I have to study, plus I have a ton of homework. I don't think so." Sunwoo replied, unlocking his front door.

They walked into the kitchen where Chanhee sat on the counter and Sunwoo looked for whatever his parents might have left him for dinner.

"Why do you have to be such a nerd?" Chanhee whined. "You're going to that party with me whether you like it or not."

Sunwoo glared at Chanhee. "Chanhee, our senior year is the year we really have to stay focused. I don't have time to go to parties."

Sunwoo tossed Chanhee a bottle of orange juice from the fridge.

"Just this one time, I swear. Please please please?" Chanhee dragged out the last please longer. Too long.

"You're not going to stop begging until I agree are you?" Sunwoo gave Chanhee a look of defeat.

Chanhee opened his eyes real big like a sad puppy and shook his head.

"Oh god- Chanhee please not the puppy eyes." Sunwoo turned his head, knowing damn well he couldn't resist Chanhee's puppy eyes.

Chanhee got in his face and even stuck his lip out in a pout.

Sunwoo sighed sharply. "Fine. But just this once!" Sunwoo pointed his index finger at Chanhee who cheered like a child who was finally allowed to attend a sleepover.

Chanhee threw his arms around his best friend chanting "thank you thank you thank you!"

Sunwoo sighed in defeat. "Don't expect me to like it."

"You're the best!" Chanhee impulsively pressed a kiss to Sunwoo's cheek then ran out of the house.

Sunwoo stood there frozen. He could feel his face temperature rise. He couldn't lie, his heart did a thing at the sudden gesture.

He could practically hear his heart mocking him for being so weak when it came to Chanhee.

"Shut up." He said to it.
