★Kim Sunwoo★
3 days. It's been 3 days and Sunwoo nearly hasn't left his room. 3 days of overthinking, crying, just thinking, some more crying, and some more thinking.
Eric's tried calling and texting but Sunwoo never touched his phone. He was too scared. Too scared that he'd say the wrong thing at the wrong time and lose Eric for good.
Sunwoo laid flat on his back, in the dark, staring at his ceiling. He hasn't slept more than 6 hours in the last two nights.
His parents didn't even notice Sunwoo's state. Which he was half grateful for. He didn't need his parents trying to pry him open like a can of tuna.
Sunwoo sighed deeply and sat up on the edge of his bed.
The soft moonlight poured through his window, gently illuminating his face.
Then his phone dinged on the nightstand. The brightness nearly blinded Sunwoo but he already knew who it was.
He picked it up and opened the notification.
Eric🐕:
It's late I know
Eric🐕:
I just need to know you're okay. Please.
Eric🐕:
I haven't been sleeping much, I'm worried sick. When my dad asks why you haven't shown up to work I don't know what to tell him.
Eric🐕:
I don't care if you want to ignore me for the rest of your life, I just need you to be okay.
Sunwoo almost burst into tears right then.
He read Eric's texts over and over again. He wasn't sure if he should reply. He'd have to do a hell of a whole lot of explaining, and he wasn't sure if he was ready.
Then another text came through.
Eric🐕:
At least you're reading these. Sleep well🤍
Sunwoo made up his mind.
He immediately stood up and slipped on a white hoodie and his shoes. He carefully and quietly walked downstairs, he grabbed his keys and exited the house.
The whole drive over Sunwoo was thinking about what he'd say. He didn't even know why he was going. It was almost 1 in the morning, by the time he arrived Eric would probably already be asleep.
As he got closer and closer to Eric's house, Sunwoo remembered the conversation he had with Changmin. About not waiting to long to come to terms with his feelings.
Sunwoo knew now. He couldn't afford to lose Eric, not the way he lost Chanhee. If he waited too long he didn't know what could happen.
He put the car in park in front of Eric's house. All the lights were off and the only source of light was coming from the street lamps.
Sunwoo grabbed his phone from the cup holders and texted Eric.
Me:
I can explain. Come outside.
Then he waited. He hoped. He prayed.
Then the porch light flickered on.
Sunwoo stepped out of the car as Eric stepped out onto the porch.
He walked up the walkway to the porch and stopped half way.
"I just-"
"Don't. Please don't." Eric cut him off.
Sunwoo was confused, then Eric came rushing to Sunwoo.
Sunwoo thought Eric would punch him, but he was surprised when Eric threw his arms around his neck.
