Kim Sunwoo

"I just don't understand how they could believe that I'd ever hurt somebody." Sunwoo said quietly.

Sunwoo and Eric were sitting on Eric's bed, in the dark while Sunwoo ranted away and Eric offered advice here and there.

"It feels like they don't even know who I am." He shrugged.

"They don't. They've been absent way before you started exploring yourself and figuring out what kind of person you'd grow up to be. And you're right. One way or another their work has always come before you." Eric chimed in.

"It doesn't matter anymore. Everything I've ever worked for is gone. My transcript, my resume, it doesn't matter how many achievements I have. A suspension and potential expulsion on my record for hazing is all Younghoon needed to flush my future down the toilet." Sunwoo said dejectedly.

"He won't get away with this, Sunwoo."

"He already has."

Neither of them said anything after that.

Sunwoo was devastated. It's been his dream since he was little to attend Seoul National University. They have the best music program in the country. And in one day any possibility of that ever happening was gone.

He didn't want to drop out of school or to start his music career teaching himself to compose or produce. He wanted to study. He wanted to learn from the best. He wanted to be surrounded by people that shared his dreams and understood them.

It didn't even seem real. His dreams were gone before he even knew what happened. How could he not see this coming?

He had heard that people were still talking and gossiping about the fight, but he never thought the teachers or the superintendent would believe them. He was never even questioned about it.

He was devastated, but more than that he was angry.

All of this happened because Younghoon couldn't stand the idea of someone not being afraid of him and his tasteless threats.

He did this because he felt threatened. Kim Younghoon doesn't think about anyone but himself. He had his rich daddy to shove stacks of money in peoples faces. He's always had everything handed to him. And people thought that just because Sunwoo also had rich parents that he was as equally privileged.

They didn't know that he's had to work for everything in his life. He refused to have anything handed to him. Doing that would only make Sunwoo stop valuing things. He didn't want to be those snobby rich kids that sucked on a silver spoon.

He wanted to earn everything he had, and he did. He earned the right to go to college. He earned the right to decide the kind of future he wanted to build.

And just like that Younghoon ruined his life.

Meanwhile Eric, he was angry too.

He knew how much going to college meant to Sunwoo. It was all he ever talked about. Going to Seoul National and studying at the best music university in the country.

Younghoon really had no regard for the amount of damage he was causing to everyone in his life.

Including Chanhee. Sure he'd only been around him two or three times but from what he knew, Chanhee was no one to disrespect. He didn't let anyone walk all over him, he was vocal about his feelings. Then Younghoon spread that disgusting rumor that they had slept together for a bet and suddenly he wasn't as confident.

He tiptoed around his words. The way he lost it at that party, from Sunwoo's reaction he guessed that Chanhee didn't react like that very often.

Younghoon was like a walking time bomb. But it's never him that blows up, it's everything and everyone else around him.

There had to be a way to prove Sunwoo was innocent.

"Could Chanhee tell the superintendent what really happened?" Eric asked.

Sunwoo shook his head.

"He's humiliated enough as it is, I can't ask him to relive that. Just forget it Eric, my life's over." Sunwoo sighed.

"You can't give up, Sunwoo. I know you don't want to either. That's not like you."

"Yeah, well, it is me now. That's it. Younghoon wins. I hope he's happy." Sunwoo shrugged.

Hell no. Over Eric's dead body would he let Sunwoo give up on something he's worked his whole life for.

He would do whatever it takes to prove Sunwoo's innocence. Sunwoo's dreams were to important to him to let them rot.

And first he'd have to talk to a few people.

Hey, besties!

And so the plot begins🤭

Quick question and I'd really like your feedback! I always love hearing from you guys!

Anyway, what do you think is gonna happen? Will Eric prove that Sunwoo was innocent all along and Younghoon was the only guilty one? Or will he fail and watch as Sunwoo spirals as a result of losing just about everything he's ever worked for? Let me know and/or drop your theories!

Anyway I hope you enjoyed this chapter! I'll see you in the next one!

Bye!
