Eric had just started his homework when he received a phone call.

[Sunwoo - Italic]
[Eric - Normal]

"Hey, what's up? How'd talking to your parents go?"
"Better than I expected. They promised to be at the hearing next week with the board."
"I'll be there, too."
"Thank you, seriously. Anyway, for our date tonight, dress warm."
"Ouu, what are we doing?"
"It's a surprise. You'll love it I promise."
"Well I hate surprises, but I trust you. I'll see you tonight."
"Tonight."
"Bye."
"Bye, baby."

Eric hung up and stared at his phone for a minute. He smiled wide as a giddy feeling bubbled in his stomach. He was happy. Really, truly, genuinely happy.

Moving to Korea, Eric was lost. With all the issues with his mother he didn't know where he stood in his life. He knew she didn't mean to, but the moment she decided drinking was more important than her family, she took a piece of Eric.

The piece that Sunwoo has somehow given back to him. One way or the other, being with Sunwoo saved his life in more ways than one.

A couple hours later and Eric was still wracking his brain, asking himself just what kind of date Sunwoo was planning.

But alas the time finally came. He finally started getting ready when Sunwoo texted him to do so.

He said dress warm to he wore a reasonably thick black pullover sweater and a pair of light washed ripped jeans and black and white high Nike Dunks.

It was about 8pm and the sun had already set, Eric wondered what anybody could do so late.

He went downstairs and grabbed his wallet before exiting his house and sitting on the porch like he did every time Sunwoo picked him up. He made sure to turn on the porch light as well.

Not too long after, Sunwoo's car pulled up in front of the house. Eric skipped down the driveway and got into the car.

"Hi, baby." Sunwoo greeted, waiting until Eric was fully strapped in.

"Hey. Where are we going?" Eric asked.

"Jaejae, it's still a surprise." Sunwoo chuckled.

Eric sighed and slumped in his seat.

They drove for about 15 minutes before Sunwoo finally seemingly arrived at their stop.

"Where are we?" Eric asked, not recognizing anything beyond Sunwoo's car. It was dark so it was hard to see but Sunwoo's headlights illuminated part of what seemed to be a forest, which kind of scared Eric. But as he stated earlier, he trusted Sunwoo.
