Kim Sunwoo

Sunwoo stared at the vinyl covers pinned to his ceiling above his bed. He'd decided to stay home today. Something in him just didn't let him get up that morning. So he's spent the last thirty minutes staring at his ceiling. His parents were out of town, again, so he didn't have to worry about telling them that he was skipping.

He was just thinking about how sad his school life was at the moment. He was tutoring the guy his crush had a crush on. Who also happened to be an internally homophobic dick. Sunwoo really didn't get what Chanhee saw in that guy.

It's not like he was that smart, on paper at least. He wasn't all that attractive either. Being tall was just about all he had going for him.

It was times like this when he wished he hadn't fallen for his best friend. They'd known each other since they were kids, they'd done almost everything together. They were supposed to be friends forever.

It was all because of that stupid movie that Sunwoo was eternally screwed. He's seen Chanhee go through his fair share of relationships, each and every one of them made Sunwoo feel sick to his stomach.

Mainly because Chanhee was always the one being broken up with, either because the other person found someone else or because they just simply didn't like him anymore. Which, frankly, Sunwoo didn't understand.

Chanhee was the type of person to leave you the last bite of food even if he wanted it himself. He was selfless like that. He paid attention to details, the littlest details. Once Chanhee flipped out on this boy in the third grade who gave Sunwoo grapes because Sunwoo hated grapes.

Chanhee was unbelievably gorgeous. He had the prettiest cheekbones, his eyes that sparkled with the littlest amount of excitement, his pretty smile that put Sunwoo in a trance every single time. Even down to the way he just was, his little habit of clapping with his pinky's out when he laughed or was excited.

It never clicked in Sunwoo's head why anyone would ever leave Chanhee. He was too perfect for anyone in this world.

He was in the living room watching tv when a sudden knock at the door startled him.

He looked through the peephole first.

Eric?

"Hey, what are you doing here?" Sunwoo asked.

"I didn't see you at school, I wanted to make sure you're okay." Eric smiled.

"You didn't have to come all the way here, I'm okay. I just didn't feel all that good." Sunwoo said dismissively.

Sunwoo looked down to notice something large wrapped in brown paper and twine in Eric's hands.

"What's that?" Sunwoo asked,

Eric suddenly perked up, almost like he forgot he was holding it. "This is for you. You said you wanted to see my art, so I made this."

Eric handed the large square shaped gift to Sunwoo.

"You made this for me?" Sunwoo asked, feeling touched.

"Well I'd been working on it for a while now but you said you wanted to see my art, so this is my gift to you." Eric smiled. "Go ahead, open it."
