Chapter Fifteen
Remember The Midnight Memories, Mel

This chapter title might not make sense. That doesn't matter. It will soon enough.

And damn. This book is getting reads fast. I mean it'll take time before it catches up the original but whatever. Also, I cannot express how I'm feeling right now, like seriously, 2.83k reads? Fuck.

I mean like it's truly wonderful and, like, crazy. I really hope you stick around for the upcoming sequel and stuff. BUT FIRST.

Read this chapter :)

Klonk

I stir half asleep turning so my back faces the wall. I pull the blanket over my head. It's probably a broken branch hitting my window with the wind.

Klonk

I shut my eyes tight. Sleep sleep sleep. Ignore ignore ignore.

I almost make it to merciful sleep but the branch decides to mock me again. Hitting the window as if to say: let's make sure Melody doesn't sleep! Let's keep her up all night!

I look at my alarm clock on my bedside table. 2:06 am, it reads. I groan running both my hands though my hair as I flop back down on my pillow.

Klonk klonk

I throw the blanket off my body, rubbing my hands on my face. Sliding off the bed and falling on the ground on my hands and knees. I put on a bra.

Klonk

I swear to God, if it's someone playing a prank I'll-

Klonk

I mutter curses below my breath standing straight with my bedside table as support. I hug myself for warmth in this winter weather British people call Fall and walk to my balcony pushing open the curtains.

Outside its still dark, with some stars shining in the sky and a semi moon. I bite my bottom lip parting the balcony doors. A gust of sharp freezing wind hits me right in the face. I let go of the doors stepping through the breeze. I reach the railing looking around for any signs of life.

Then I see him.
Conrad.
With a pile of pebbles in his left hand- one is his right, mid-throw.

"What the fuck Conrad?" Despite my current mood and my frozen body I can't help but smile.

"Good, your up."

I pull down my smile for a second just so I can have the pleasure at yelling at him for something. "Yes! I'm up and if you don't mind- I'm going back to bed."

I turn around but I know he's going to call out for me. "Melody wait."

I bite down the smirk leaning back over the railing. "What?"

"Talk to me," he pleads.

I bend my arms, resting them on the railing. He smiles, "what is it, Conrad."

He throws up something, I catch it. Its a Lynx deodorant bottle. "I heard you washed your jersey."

"And?"

"Spray it," he orders. I spray the deodorant on my wrist, bringing it up to my nose I breathe it in closing my eyes in pleasure. "It smells like me doesn't it?"

I nod and he says, "it's yours to keep- and when you run out you know what to get."

"Conrad, I need to go." I say stopping myself from bringing this even further then it already has.
