(A/N: Sorry for the short chapters, had to get these ideas out of my brain before they were gone for good. Hope you enjoy!!)

Monday, after work
~30 minutes earlier, 5:30 p.m.~
She stood there in Hank's office, waiting to give him some paperwork she had finished for Kevin. "Here's the last of them, Sarge." Danielle told Hank softly, waiting at his doorway until he said it was okay to walk in. Hank just looked at her, so she slowly walked into his office. "Get the door." He told her so she closed it behind her then turned to look at him again. Hank fiddled with a pen, twisting the top of it in order to open and close it, not looking at the sniper. She patiently waited for him to say something, but after a minute of waiting in silence, she walked up to his desk, set the paperwork in front of him, and stood there, waiting for further instructions. "Um, I just want to thank you for telling Crowley what happened and why I took the shot on today's case. You didn't have to do that, but thank you." She told him softly with a smile, Voight barely even looking at her as she spoke, until her last sentence. "I didn't. It wasn't on me to clean up your mess." Hank spoke up harshly. Danielle swallowed a knot of tears forming in her throat, tired of feeling like she's been doing something wrong in Hank's eyes for the past few long work hours. "Excuse me?" She asked him very softly, her voice almost a whisper. "Yeah, I know what was told to Crowley." Hank answered like it was nothing, twisting his pen faster as he looks at her. Danielle didn't know what to say so she opted for silence. "Anything else?" Hank asked her, sounding angry when in reality he wasn't. "No, Sargent. Listen, I should've listened to you, but I was not going to let Kevin get shot-" She answered softly, keeping eye contact with him. Today had been a very close call, and there was an order to not engage, but Kevin was undercover with his C.I. and a drug dealer Intelligence was trying to take down; at one point, the dealer pulled out a gun and had it aimed at Atwater. Danielle had a perfect shot from where she had set up her rifle across the street, and took it before the dealer shot Kev. Her shot blew Intelligence's cover, but no one was hurt and they managed to successfully detain the dealer and his workers along with half a million dollars worth of heroin. "I don't give a damn who you listen to. But don't you ever compromise a case again. You hear me?" Hank asked, stopping his pen fiddling. Before she could answer, Danielle watched Voight get up from his chair and walk to her right in front of his desk. "You copy?" Hank asked, getting up in her personal space. "I copy, Sarge." Danielle answered, her eyes searching his. "You were willing to blow our cover just so Atwater didn't get shot? News flash, everyone gets shot at some point in this field of work! He knows what he signed up for!!" Hank raised his voice at her, nearly shouting at her. It was at that moment that the sniper's eyes went back to looking at Voight's office chair instead of him. "I mean, if you ever do anything like that again, I will find a way to bury you!" Hank finally shouted at her, their faces centimeters from each other. As soon as those few last words had left his mouth, Hank knew he messed up as the 20 year old stood there, taking his shouting like a champ. Her mother used to do it to her often when her dad wasn't home, and at 12, Danielle learned to disassociate as a form of comfort to herself while her mom yelled at her, which she did while Hank was doing. Of course, his words rang loud and clear in her ears and head. Hank looked at his girlfriend to find her looking at him with a straight face as he searched her eyes. "Understood." She answered him in a soft voice. Hank looked at her, hating himself for even raising his voice at her. In all truth, he wasn't mad, he was just frustrated with Crowley who's been breathing down his neck lately, causing him to snap at his team. He made her a shrugging gesture, one which asked the sniper why she was still standing in front of him without Voight even saying anything:
