Later that morning, Thursday, January 14th, 7:45 a.m.
"You're back!" Jay happily tells Al as Olinsky, Dawson, and their wife, who have all just arrived in the bullpen, walk to their desks. Kevin and Adam smile at each other as each younger man welcomes Olinsky back to work. "Oh, we got you a little something. It's a 'Welcome back/Glad you're not dead' gift." Jay explains to Al who curiously looks at him. Kevin is trying to not laugh as Adam goes to fetch the three's gift for his mentor, returning from the hallway with a walker, pretending to be old and using it to walk towards Olinsky who smirks the slightest bit. "Wow." Al says with a small smile, the boys finally laughing loudly. "It was his idea, we swear." Kevin is quick to say, he and Halstead pointing fingers at Ruzek who laughs even more. All the 61 year old does is smile, very happy to be back where he belongs. "Hey, where's Voight? You four usually show up together." Jay asks, looking at Danielle, who since 2 a.m. this morning, has been wondering the same thing. "He'll be here soon." Antonio answers, walking with his wife to the locker room so she can put away her work bags. The boys look at each other, noticing how quick the reply was. Not wanting to question it, they talk to Al and ask him how he's doing.
~40 minutes later, 8:20 a.m.~
Three small knocks land against the front door of Hank's old home. When the person at the door doesn't get an answer, the knocks grow louder as 7 of them are heard, and the noise jolts Hank awake. "Hank!" A voice is heard on the other side of the front door, the Sargent slowly sitting up from his couch in the living room. "Alright! Alright!" He shouts, his head pounding at the disturbance. "Hank!" The call and even louder knocks are heard again as he slowly stands up and stumbles over to the door, looking through the peephole. He's surprised to see it's Trudy, having thought that maybe it'd be the sniper waiting for him on the porch. "Come on in. Come on in." He says as he opens the door, staying hidden behind it as he just let's Trudy walk in as he goes and sits back down where he had been laying.
