"Jay! What the hell is going on, man? We came in to make a deal. What they playin' games for?" Kevin asks his teammate who he was just on an undercover deal with. For the past three weeks, Intelligence has been keeping track of two specific gangs selling very powerful guns. In one gang, Jay is posing as Ryan, while in the other gang, Kevin is posing as Lamar. The team had started this morning on a stake-out, keeping careful eyes on Kevin and Jay, along with the members of the gangs they joined. A guy named Malik, on Kevin's side, screwed up the deal, causing Atwater and his boys to walk away while Jay and his guys watched them leave. Now everyone is back in the bullpen, Atwater having barely arrived. "Hold up, man! It was a go on our side, too, alright? Get your boy in line!" Jay answers, both standing a foot away from each other. "Really, dawg?" Kevin scoffs. "Hey, wait, your guys have the guns, right?" Danielle breaks up the small outbreak, Jay and Kevin looking at her. "The gun that Nate pulled was definitely an M4, that much I know. I don't know how many they actually have, though." Jay answers. "Alright, so were these guys being careful, or were they just trying to buy time 'cause they don't have the guns in their possession?" Antonio asks, he, Adam, and Hank walking up to the three who are gathered at the very entrance of the office. "It's unclear...Dexter plays everything close to the vest." Jay answers with a shake of his head. "Okay, so let's keep this thing alive. Alright? Jay, Kevin, you stay under. Try to make this gun deal happen. 'Kay? We have gotta get these M4s off of street. They're too powerful." Hank orders, Halstead and Atwater apologizing to each other for lashing out, fist bumping each other. "Let's go." Kevin says, but before they can leave anywhere, they all hear footsteps coming up the stairs. They all turn to find Trudy and the man and woman who pulled Al into questioning last year standing in front of them. "What the hell do you want? Hmm?" Hank defensively asks, stepping in front of the male I.A. officer who just looks past Voight to Al who is sitting at his desk, facing Voight's office in his rolling chair, quietly eating a banana. The man and woman push past the other Intelligence members, walking up to Olinsky's desk. Antonio looks at his wife who he's standing beside, finding her looking at Hank who looks at her before the three look at the 61 year old. "Bad news, Al. Grand jury voted to indict." The man tells Al who slowly sets his unfinished banana on his desk. "You're under arrest for the murder of Kevin Bingham. Stand up." The woman sternly tells him. Al looks between the two officers before he spots a glimpse of his wife worriedly watching the scene. He could easily just decide right here and now to be defiant and not comply with what they're asking which would rat out Voight so Al can stay with their wife, but for the sake of 21 year old, he silently does as told, not wanting to make matters worse for her and his friends who are all painfully watching. "We're gonna need your weapon and badge." The man tells him, the woman grabbing a pair of handcuffs from her holster. "What, are you kidding me? Handcuffs? He's got 30 years on the job." Hank protests after seeing how broken Danielle and the others became at the sight:"Weapon. And badge. Now." The woman repeats, ignoring Hank. The team watches Al stand up, reaching for his gun. "Slowly." The man reminds him, Al slowly handing him the weapon he's kept on him all these years. When he unclips his badge from his belt, he takes a good look at it, seeing the leather around the edges is very worn down. He runs his thumbs over the metallic star that represents his promise to serve and protect the people of Chicago:
