The splash of water coming from the bathroom stirred Yongjie from sleep. He slowly opened his eyes and turned towards the direction of the bathroom. A warm smile crept off his face. He patted the bed, the side where Xingsi had laid on and inhaled the scent on the pillow. He raised himself to sit when the bathroom door swung open.

Xingsi walked out, half naked, wearing only his red boxer pant. He was surprised to see Yongjie awake.
"I didn't want to wake you up," he said.

"You already did," Yongjie softened as Xingsi smiled. He watched as Xingsi put on his shirt and trouser.

"Do you remember what we talked last night?"

"A little," Xingsi replied as he wore his trouser.

Last night's memories will forever be etched in Yongjie's mind. He stood from the bed and walked towards Xingsi.

He grabbed Xingsi's hands and breathed. "I would love to spend more time with you and get to know you better."

"We are already spending time together, don't you think that is something?:

Yongjie smiled slightly. It wasn't the answer he was expecting to hear. From the look of things Xingsi still want to fully accept him yet. "Okay."

"I need to be home early, my friends will be worried."

A pang of jealousy hit Yongjie hearing about Xingsis friends. He spent too much time with them, from work and then at home. He grabbed Xingsi on his hand and squeezed. "My birthday is coming up."

"Oh, how old will you be this year?"

"I will be turning twenty."

"Oh," Xingsi looked away and buttoned up shirt quickly. "How time flies."

Yongjie reached out and intertwined his hand with Xingsi's. "celebrate my birthday with me. Just the two of us."

Xingsi stared at Yongjie for the longest time. He blinked. It made Yongjie uncomfortable like he was asking too much.

"Okay. I will." Xingsi said as he patted Yongjie's hair.

Yongjie smiled.

When Xingsi got home he met Licheng and Muren arguing. Muren was mad because Licheng used his cup to drink coffee for the second time that day.

"Good morning," Xingsi greeted as he walked past them to settle down in the sofa.

"Where did you spend the night?" Muren asked.

"Yongjie's place."

"Haa I knew that kid had other plans," Licheng said squeezing his fist. "Hope he didn't do anything stupid."

"No," Xingsi replied. "He was nice to me."

"Really?" Muren asked. "How nice?"

"He..." Xingsi blinked.

"Nice enough to date him?"

"Um, I am still thinking about it. I don't want to jump into a relationship at the moment."

Muren nodded in agreement. "Take your time."

"Um Xiao ye," Licheng fondly called Xingsi. "We will be going to the gym later in the day, will you join us?"

"Yes. Just send me a message when you are ready to go."

"No problem!"

After resting on the sofa, Xingsi picked his things and walked to his room. He locked the door and leaned on it for a minute. A smile danced on his lips as he recalled last night. He had slept so peacefully in the arms of Yongjie he felt so at home with him. It was such a rare and beautiful thing. Some guys would have wanted to get intimate or take advantage of his drunk situation. No doubt Yongjie was a fine young man, Xingsi just had some doubts about having a relationship with him.

There was so many what ifs running through his mind.

What if he isn't good enough for Yongjie?

What if Yongjie grows out of love with him?

What if... What if Steven returns?

The last thought weakened his soul. He laid on his bed and stared at the ceiling. What if Steven comes back, can he really move on without wanting to get attached to him again?
