"Are you enjoying the series?"
Muren asked, his eyes glued to the TV screen. There was no reply. It was dark and cold outside. The lovers were cuddled up in the sofa. While Muren was anxious watching the TV screen, Licheng had dozed off.
"Licheng?" Muren's gaze dropped to the man, whose head rested peacefully on his thighs.
"I can't believe, this," Muren rolled his eyes. "Licheng are you sleeping, we're supposed to watch the series together."
Licheng turned and faced Muren with sleepy eyes. "You can always tell me about it when you're done huh," Licheng said.
"My mouth gets tired of telling you what happened, that's why I wanted you to watch with me."
"Is there a sex scene in the series? You can tell me that part right," Licheng winked.
Muren raised his fist jokingly to punch Licheng when the front door swung open. Both turned to see who was entering.
"Hello my friends," Xingsi greeted. "Longtime no see." he smiled warmly as he moved to place his bag on the kitchen counter. Yongjie walked in and followed Xingsi.
Licheng sighed. He stood up and walked towards the couple. "Haa, what charm have you used on my friend, huh, Yong?"
Licheng held Xingsi's arms and inquired, "Are you really Xingsi, are you okay? You hardly come home. Are you trying to ditch us huh?"
Xingsi laughed. "No Licheng. I have just been busy."
"Busy with what, no with who?"
Xingsi eyed Yongjie.
"Busy with me!" Yongjie retorted. "Do you have any problems with that?" He pulled Xingsi's arm away from Licheng grip.
"Oh my, really..." Licheng's eyes widened as he saw the shiny ring on both Xingsi and Yongjie fingers.
"What?" Muren turned from the sofa. "Why? What happened?"
"Wait, who proposed?" Licheng asked.
"I proposed. We're getting married." Yongjie replied.
Licheng blinked. "Why do I feel jealous right now. Congratulations to you both. Muren?"
"What?"
"Xingsi is getting married?" Licheng sat on the sofa and crossed his arms over his chest.
"Isn't that something to be happy about, Licheng. What's wrong with you?"
"I..."
"You what?"
Xingsi shook his head as he watched his friends bickering back and forth. He held Yongjie's hand and they quietly walked to Xingsi's room.
"Your friends are funny," Yongjie said with a straight face.
"Yes, especially Licheng. He jokes alot. You'd hardly know when he is serious."
"How long they've been together?"
"About six years,"
Yongjie nodded as he looked around the room. He recalled the day he had stalked Xingsi and found out where he lived. He walked to the window and stared outside while Xingsi pulled of his blue suit and loosened his tie.
"I followed you home one time and stood by the window watching you," Yongjie said.
"Why?"
"I wanted to be sure you were single,"
Xingsi smiled. He walked towards Yongjie. "Were you that jealous?"
"I have loved you since I was in high school. It was a sad and painful love. The more I tried to forget about you, the deeper I fell in love."
"Why was it painful?"
"Because I couldn't touch or hold you,"
"Yongjie..."
"Every day feels new with you. I can rest assured that I have you by my side."
"Yes, Yongjie." Xingsi reached his hand and touched Yongjie's hair. He smiled. "Are you hungry?"
Yongjie shook his head. He took off his jacket and walked to the bed. "No I just want to lay in bed with you."
Xingsi smiled. He joined his lover in bed and they cuddled up warmly under the sheets.
