Xingsi met Licheng lying on the sofa in the sitting room when he got to their apartment. It was unusual for Licheng to sleep alone. He wondered if Muren was not back yet.

"Licheng? Are you sleeping?"
He asked as he walked to the fridge to take a bottle of water and a glass cup. Licheng sprang up from the sofa.

"Is Muren not back?" Xingsi asked again.

Licheng inhaled and walked towards Xingsi, who glared at him wondering what was wrong.

"Xiao Ye. I'm worried." Licheng gestured in the air.

"Worried about what? Did something happen?"

"Yes," Licheng crossed his arms over his chest. "Someone is making a move on my Muren. When I confronted him, no, when I asked him about it he denied it. Why would he hide something like that from me?"

"How did you know someone is making a move on Muren?"

"Ah... I have spies in his department that report to me."

"So they told you..."

"Yes. And he says I'm over reacting and locked me out of the room."

"I get what you mean. You know Muren is not that friendly in the office. Maybe those spies miscalculated the actions."

"I even heard the person is from the higher ups, what if he has more money than me, what if he decides to spoil Muren with loads of money..."

"Licheng, don't project your insecurities at Muren. He really loves you. You know that."

"Oh is that what you're saying. You're siding with Muren, come on. I will be devastated if Muren cheats on me."

"We are saying the same thing. You've been together four years now, why would you think muren would do such a thing."

"I don't know..."

Xingsi gulped down water from the glass cup and placed it on the table.

"You know Muren is handsome, any man who is really interested will want to have him, it's not his fault."

"You're right."

"Talk about it like a couple, don't attack Muren, he may look tough but he's fragile too. Okay?"

Licheng exhaled and rolled his neck in frustration.

"Okay."

Licheng paced about the room in thought. Xingsi was so right. What will he do now, he already accused Muren of been unfaithful and said hurtful words at him. He ran his hand through his hair and faced Xingsi.

"Can you call him, he wouldn't open the door no matter how long I knocked."

Xingsi nodded. He walked to Muren's room and tapped on the door.

"Muren? It's me."

After a few minutes, the door swung open. Muren's face was swollen and red. He must have been sobbing.

"Xingsi, you're back?"

"Yes. Muren are you okay?"

Muren nodded slightly. He returned to the bed and tucked himself in his duvet. Xingsi sat beside him.

"I'm pleading on behalf of Licheng..."

"Xingsi, there's nothing to plead about, I don't want to talk about it." Muren said bluntly.

"Muren, I know how you feel. Licheng probably misunderstood the whole thing, he already explained to me. I can say he over reacted because he cares about you."

Licheng quietly walked into the room and stood beside the door. Sighting him, Muren swallowed and looked away.

"Teng Teng..." Licheng called. "I'm sorry, I was really scared of losing you, mm."

Muren took a deep breath and wiped his face. "Xingsi really saved you, next time try to be inconsiderate I will leave the house for you."

Licheng hurried and climbed on the bed. He laid beside Muren. "You can't leave the house Muren, where would you go huh? I said I'm sorry. I don't just want those rich old bastards spoiling you."

"Who said any one was spoiling me?" Muren replied angrily.

"Teng Teng you look more cute when you're angry."

Muren playfully shoved Licheng away. Licheng made a puppy face and Muren couldn't help but chuckle.

"Okay give me a kiss if you have forgiven me ..." Licheng demanded.

Xingsi was smiling at the two lovebirds as he quickly slipped out of the room. He returned to his room and changed his clothes to a simple white shirt and short. He was too tired to take a bath so he laid on the bed.

He admired Licheng for been so open and sharing his relationship issue with him. Xingsi was not that open. He was scared he would get judged for his actions. He hoped to be the best boyfriend to Yongjie. To be open and loved, no secrets and fears.

He recalled the comments Yongjie's step father made and how Yongjie stood up and defended their relationship. Unlike Steven who denied him. Yongjie already sacrificed so much to groom his love for so many years. Can he do the same for Yongjie?
