Stranger Danger

The hallway was empty, metal walls going both directions. She decided to walk left, since she heard voices to her right. She edged along the hallway, the cold steel pressing against her bare feet. She had decided to take her slippers off, since they were making too much sound. There were a few more doors next to hers, but none of them budged. Her thoughts were racing. What scared her the most was that she couldn't remember her past life. As if she woke with amnesia. She knew her name, and that was it. But strangely she didn't panic. It felt natural. I'm definitely going crazy. God knows what these people will do. There's only on way to find out. She had reached a sharp turn in the hall. She pressed her back to the wall. Somehow it felt like the right thing to do. She listened, ears pricked. Nothing. Strange. Where's the man in the wheelchair? Once she decided that the coast was clear, she walked out. Oomph! She had barged right into someone. They collided. She heard a grunt and looked up. A young guy, probably a year older than her, and a full head taller, gasped and looked at her with his warm chocolate brown eyes. His brown hair was cut in a messy military style haircut. He was tall and lean. He gaped, "I'm so sorry. I didn't hear you. You hid pretty well. I was sent here by Commander to fetch you. Please, follow me" he said. His voice was soft and gentle, yet mildly amused. She glared back. "If he wants me, he can come here" she muttered. He laughed, it was a loud, full hearted sound. "He has a wheelchair"

"Well, wheel him over here"

"Seriously? This is important. Come with me"

"Who are you?"

"My name is Aaron I'll be your guide for the evening" he mocked.

"Very funny"

"What? It's sexy, right?" he batted his lashes.

"You're ridiculous"

"Well, come on then. What's your name?"

"Kashmir"

"Well, Kashmir. Please follow me"

And with that he walked off. She could do nothing but follow. She didn't trust him, she didn't trust anyone. But she decided to play along, to get some answers.
