Aaron woke up, startled at the lack of pain on his body. Then he recalled the events of the past day. Holy crap. He bolted upright, and kicked Kyle on the head. Oops.
"Gaah! " exclaimed Kyle, sitting up and rubbing his head. Aaron turned around and found Kash sleeping next to Ian, and Ian barely able to stay awake. Ian met his eye, and gently shook Kash awake. Once everyone had gathered around, Kyle started talking.
" Guys, we have wasted a lot of time already. We need to get moving. "

" Where do we go? What are we looking for? " asked Ian.

Kash answered. "We need to find out what is really going on in the forest. Why the animals are attacking. I say we head up to the mountains."

Everyone nodded their heads. They picked up their weapons and started walking deeper into the jungle. Once the other two had gone a little ahead, Ian slowed down to walk next to Kash.
"Do you want to tell them? " he asked. He didn't specify what, but Kash knew. The Dreams.

" No. " he looked at her questioningly, and she nodded firmly.

They trudged onward, the sun was in the afternoon sky, and beating down on them mercilessly. They continued walking, their breaths coming out in short gasps, their bodies bathed in sweat. The high canopy did little to stop the heat from reaching the floor. They trudged on, barely stopping to breathe.

"We need w-water" gasped Kash. Aaron groaned in agreement. Ian was bending over, hands on his hips. "How about tree sap?" Kyle asked. Kash perked up at the idea. She wandered out a little, trying to find a good tree. Hmm. Not that one. Suddenly as if from nowhere, the trees started popping down into the ground. How is that possible? What's going on? She shuffled over to the group, curiosity biting at her mind. Then again, these aren't regular trees. They look like carved out pumpkins. More and more trees started popping in, going from both directions, and meeting in front of them. They all turned simultaneously. Kyle mumbled something inaudible. In front of them stood a huge thing. It looked like an elephant with a hammerhead. It had vibrant colors, just like the forest. What the crap? It bellowed, a huge noise that popped her ears and sent vibrations up her spine. Ian and Aaron had their weapons at the ready, back to back. I bet Aaron enjoys his wounds gone. Ian was about to charge when he felt a firm hand on his shoulder. Kyle spoke. "Ian. Listen to me. These are harmless creautures, unless threatened. You should pay attention during class. Don't move. Back away slowly. You hear me?" he said through gritted teeth. Aarons eyes clouded with momentary confusion, but he slowly put his weapon down. Ian glared at Kyle and looked to Kash for support. Meanwhile, the hybrid elephant was pounding the ground with its enormous feet, waving it's hammer head around. Kash shook her head slowly at Ian, fear written all over her face. Ian fixed Kyle with one last glare, before he dropped his weapon too. Slowly, they all backed away. The tensions were high, as they walked backwards, anticipating an attack. Well, the attack came. The elephant charged. Kash's heart skipped a beat, and her mind went blank. Aaron grabbed her hand, and ran. Kyle already turned tail, but Ian took out a knife. Aaron pulled Kash along, running fast, his feet pounding the ground. Kash stumbled and tripped multiple times, but Aaron pulled her back into her feet. Where's Ian? Aaron tore through the tree's at a dangerous speed, holding firmly to her hand. She could hear tree's tearing down behind her, roots lifting out of the ground. It's pounding footsteps drummed in her ears as trees cut at her cheeks. She heard pounding footsteps behind her. She risked a glance behind her as she run. Ian ran, his legs pumping him forward, as the elephant followed, blundering through the tree's, close at his heels. He passed by them, and struggled to catch up to Kyle. Aaron ran faster, dragging her behind as his long legs propelled him forward. She was out of breath, her lungs burning.
"In here! " shouted Kyle from up ahead. Aaron pulled her to where Kyle was, and pushed her into the big hole and jumped in, just as the elephant ran over the hole. Kash dropped on all fours and puked. She heard Aaron mumble, "gross". She finally stood, and took in her surroundings. The hole had dropped them into a large chamber, dirt walls covering all sides, a metal bench in the center. What is this place? She walked around with her eyes closed, her fingers brushing against the walls. Somethings here. I can feel it.

Kyle gaped at her. What's she doing? Is she possessed?
"Kash what are you doing? "

" Shh. Somethings here. I can feel it. "

Okay....
"Kash, what was that incident with Aaron?"

"Yeah. You're hiding something. Something is going on. I may be an idiot, but I'm not stupid. " said Aaron.

" Guys, just leave her alone all right? She saved your arse. " replied Ian.
Kyle turned on him, furious.

"What do you care? Shut your hole, Ian!"

"I care, alright! More than you! She saved your arse, and all she's asking is for some peace. Everyone has secrets. " he hissed, his voice menacingly low. Aaron watched with his mouth open.

Kyle couldn't take it anymore. He tackled him. Ian grunted, and fell backwards. Kyle was relentless. He was on top of Ian in an instant, battering his face, blow after blow. Ian struggled to push him off, blood dripping from his nose. Kyle kept coming at him, making blood splatter.

"STOP IT!" yelled Kash. Her amber eyes blazed, and the metal bench exploded. Kyle was thrown off Ian, and was instantly encased in an orb of pure white. Aaron watched in horror. Ian stood slowly mouth twisted in a sneer.

"Now you know why" he hissed, voice filled with ill concealed anger.

"She didn't want to tell you, you fool. " he said.

" Ian sto-" began Kash.

But Ian continued. He told them everything. Her dreams, the lady. Everything. Slowly, Kash's eyes lost their fire, and she looked at the floor, her face covered in flame. The orb around Kyle fell, and he stumbled out, shock on his face. Ian's gaze softened, and he wiped the blood from his face, grimacing. Aaron continued to watch in shock and horror.

"Kash? Is this true? " asked Aaron gingerly.

She nodded, tears filling her eyes.
" I'm sorry. I should have told you. Kyle I'm sorry. "
Kyle watched, his gaze soft.

" No. I should apologize. Ian, I'm sorry. I don't know what came over me. " Kyle said.

" It's okay. You should have gotten the truth. "

They all huddled in the center, debating the Prophecy.
" We need you to harness it first. Be able to control it. " said Ian.

" But what is the ability? And it only comes when I'm under stress. " said Kash.

" We need to get a move on. We'll work it out on the way. I'm starving. " said Aaron.

" He's right. We should move." agreed Kyle.

It had been five days since the fight, and they just broke through the forest, and stood at the bottom of the mountains. A cold wind was blowing in, dark skies overhead. Ian has started training Kash along the way. She was slowly getting the hang of it. Her best area was knifes. Daggers are me favorite.

"So do we go up? " asked Aaron. His hair had grown long and messy, cuts and scars on his arms.

"No. We dig a hole and hibernate. Of course we go up." replied Ian. His skin had gotten tanner, but that was the only thing that changed. He still managed to comb his hair neatly.
Kyle was another story. His face was stern, and he was hardly the sweet guy she has met two weeks ago. It's funny what a week can do to a person. But I shouldn't talk. She had slowly become a natural at close range fighting. She threw with deadly accuracy. And she was proud. She slowly got a hang of her powers, and could control them from bursting out. But now we have the next challenge. The mountains.
