Kash's eyes widened so much that she thought they might pop. The ugly bear of a man grinned at her and picked his teeth with his sword.

" You monster! " she hissed.

" Me? A monster? "

" How could you? Why would you do this to them. To us? "

He scratched his ugly beard.

" Hm. That's not my job, you see. I get paid to take out mutts like you that will disrupt the program. "

Kash tried to keep talking to him, while she tried to sketch an escape route. The sounds of gunfire died down, and she could hear a struggle as the guards tried to fight hand to hand combat. Which was Kyle's specialty. The man advanced on her, taking a menacing step forward. She simultaneously took a step back. He mockingly swung his hand, testing her skill set. She dodged it with ease. He struck again, this time faster. When he missed again, he narrowed his eyes in frustration, then swing his sword. She was nicked in the arm and winced. I can't fight him without a weapon.

" I know you're all great and strong. Why di you need to damage your blade for me? You just need your hands to squash someone as weak as me. " she tried. To her luck, the ugly man was as dumb as she thought.

He hurumphed.

" Alright. " he agreed, then three his sword down, and it skidded to a halt. She lifted up her fists, prepared to fight. He threw down a volley of punches, and she dodged all of them, but one first caught her cheekbone, and she was sent sprawled over. He wasted no time, and in one long stride was right before her. His foot came down with extreme ferocity, and she rolled away just in time for the ground where she was lying a split second ago was cracked. Oh shit. She scrambled to her feet, and dove backwards. Something clanged against her shoes. She looked down and found the sword that belonged to the man. My lucky day. She picked it up with effort, the sword extremely heavy in her small hands. His eyes widened in surprise.

" You! You said no weapons! " he bellowed. She gave him a sideways smirk.

" Maybe. Maybe I lied, you fat oaf. "

His face reddened, his fists clenched. He dove in for the attack blindly, and she twirled gracefully out of the way. With a quick flick of her wrist a gash appeared in his exposed back. He bellowed in anger and whipped around. Too far for someone his size and she wasn't expecting that. He kicked at her stomach and she sprawled over, dropping the sword. By the time she got up, the sword tip was less than an inch from her face. She goes down terror and tried to remain calm.

" Well I'll have a blast ending your miserable life. " he said dryly. Kash prepared herself for what seemed like eminent death. I'm sorry I let you guys down. She sent out a silent prayer as she awaited her death. Boom! A loud noise cracked the air, and pierced her eardrums, an echo of a high pitched sound still in her ears. She winced at the loud noise and looked up, rubbing her ears. To her dismay, the man was spitting out his own blood, a gaping hole in his chest. He dropped to his knees, revealing the figure of the person who had shot the man. Kash couldn't help but suppress a cry of relief. His green eyes scanned the surroundings, his gun held at the ready. He had a bullet wound in his shoulder, and had fresh wounds along with the old ones that continued to heal. He ran up to her, and before she knew what was happening, he had her in his arms, his face buried in get hair. She couldn't move from the shock, but she didn't try to push away. After a few seconds, he seemed to realize what he was doing and took a step back. He blushed a deep red, gods eyes scorned with embarrassment. She couldn't help but grin.

" You're alright. Nothing happened. That's-that's great. Really... wonderful." he said, cursing himself under his breath.
Just then the sound of runners footsteps caught their attention. Aaron and Kyle ran up to them, panting and wiping off blood.

" Great. No one died. " Aaron said after a few moments of silence.

" Where did you go? " Kyle asked her.

" I went to get some..... information. "

" And what information did you receive? "

" She'll tell us later. We need to get out of this place. I don't even know why it's here." Aaron answered for her. She nodded, too exhausted to even talk. They dragged themselves back to the door that read "Exit" and found their way out. Kash couldn't help but stare at the bodies in the tubes, feeling a strange sense of guilt. You could have freed them. She felt herself staring into the unmoving bodies, and it was at that moment she promised herself. I will fight this war. For them. She didn't what war, or why, not but knew she would fight.

They had decided to rest outside the exit of the second room. Meaning they got to sleep on the metal beds in the first room. Aaron walked around checking the doors, making sure they were locked so as to ensure everyone would get a good night's sleep. We definitely need it. He headed back to his bed, his stomach growling in frustration. He saw his best friend Kyle, dozing off already on a bed, drooling. He ain't ever gonna make friends like that, he mused to himself. As Aaron slid into his bed, he caught a glimpse of Kash and Ian sleeping in beds next to each other, taking in hushed voices. He felt a strange twinge of jealousy that was alien to him. This place is screwing with me. We need to move out. Fast. And with the thought of escape, he dozed off into a long deserved slumber. Unaware of what the next day would bring.
